Going to universal for the first time with my kids who love rides. Me, I am a certifiable ride weenie
That being said, I enjoy all the Disney rides except Ztower of Terror and the tea cups. At a cedar fair park, I will do the wooden roller coasters the pirate ship the wheel thing that stands up so you are upside down....a witches wheel. I don't mind going upside down. I do sometimes experience motion sickness.
What rides should I avoid.. I'm thinking of taking something ...but what? To avoid the motion sickness thing.

Thanks in advance!:cool1::cool1:

Take some meclazine (Bonine, Less Drowsy Dramamine). It does wonders for me. If you can do the witches wheel and the wooden coasters (usually wooden coasters are way rougher than steel coasters), I think you can do pretty much everything at the parks. The outdoor coasters, you'll be able to see for yourself. There are no indoor rides that I feel are too crazy for you.

I HIGHLY recommend taking dramamine. I LOVE rides but get queasy on many at Universal. I have a hard time with 3D and motion type rides, so the HP ride, Spiderman, etc make me sick. I agree with the last poster, you can see the roller-coasters so you'll know before you go what you are getting into. For me, it's the 3D, so if you haven't done that type before, I recommend dramamine just in case.

My recommendation is to stay away from the Simpsons ride. :crazy2:

And I get a prescription for scopolamine patches for motion sickness.

I stay as far from Simpsons as possible, but this year a friend begged me to go on with her. OMG, with in 5 seconds I was staring at my shoes and concentrating on my breathing. It felt like the longest ride in the park.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is a great ride. In 3 years I have managed to see a total of about 5-10 seconds. It seemed neat, I just can't ride it.

For me the Simpsons ride is fine if I don't watch all of the stuff happening on the screen. Almost all of the motion is just in your head. I like sitting towards the front of the ride vehicle because they I can look out over at all the other people in the room, like I do on Soarin' when I'm in a more sensitive mode (and need to reassure myself that I'm not flying over Yosemite LOL).

At a cedar fair park, I will do the wooden roller coasters the pirate ship the wheel thing that stands up so you are upside down....a witches wheel.

If you can handle a pirate ship (I assume you mean the thing that goes up and down like a pendulum) and the wheel that stands you up, you are NOT a ride weenie in my book!

I really really hated Dr Doom, but I'd go on it again before willingly going on the pirate ship ride at our local amusement park again!
