Would you pick breakfast at Crystal Palace or lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern?

DD are 12, 10, 9. We are doing other character meals and I feel Crystal Palace characters are a little young for them. Have never eaten at either place.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm doing both on my next trip so no help. I LOVE tigger.

How do they feel about the pooh characters?

I am in the same boat as you, the Pooh characters feel "young" for my kids and my younger daughter, 9, likes Piglet but that's about it. I've done the breakfast at CP and it's ok. I have heard recently that the character signing there has gone by the wayside and they just hand out pre-signed cards. We did LTT for lunch on our last trip this August and one daughter loved the atmosphere and didn't care for her lunch but I will say she is very picky, she is 10. My younger loved the lunch and restaurant and is clearly not as picky. My dh and I enjoyed our food. We ordered lunch a la carte and had the burgers. DD 10 had chicken noodle soup, we ended up eating it for her and it was very good, and DD 9 had the kids turkey dinner and it was a good bit of food. Came with green beans, fruit cup and mashed potatoes. Very tasty. And if you eat a later lunch, around 2, you will be done at or around parade time, if it's still starting at 3pm. My girls also like how when they call your family name they announce where you are from and clap. They thought that was embarrassing and funny. If ya'll are big eaters go for the family style. The food looked delish but just too much for us since we don't eat as much so not really a good money move if you aren't a big eater.

I guess you know your kids best -- my at the time 9 yo twin boys surprisingly loved meeting pooh, tigger and eeyore - we were talking about it for our upcoming April trip where they will be 12 and they still want to dine at CP. The food was good at crystal palace but the menu at liberty tree looks good as well. I guess it is a matter of what kind of experience you want. Sometimes it is more enjoyable to have a meal without being interrupted by characters. Maybe really look at the menu's and see which one will have items that your party would enjoy. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I'm inclined to believe that your initial inclination is the best one - dropping Crystal Palace.

But with your youngest being 9 y.o., "Ask the kids," is my 'best' advice.

I would normally agree with asking the kids, but kind of changed my mood over the last trip or two.

I noticed with my 6 yr old that when we have the breakfast (usually around 10am), we don't eat lunch and have a snack in the late lunch hours. We always try to eat dinner around 4 or 5 when we do this, but we notice my son gets a little more grumpy in the mid day.

Also, we let him pick all the FP+, so we kind of decided to hog the dining selections for us. We just make sure there is something he will eat on the menu, which isn't too hard because he mostly anything and a lot of things his little friends won't eat (calamari, avocado, asparagus, squash, fish). Last trip, we never heard him complain one bit. In fact, he requested we go to Flying Fish again.

Don't feel guilty about making a few choices for you.

Have you asked the kids?
We haven't asked the kids because the trip is a surprise for them!
I'm leaning towards the Liberty Tree Tavern, mostly to have a relaxing and sounds like delicious meal!
Maybe I'll see if DH has an opinion on it!!
