I want to use the Magical Express. I can get a cheap flight on Frontier Airline but they don't participate in the Magical Express. Can I just collect my luggage and take it to the Magical Express? What about getting back to the airport? Not sure what to do?

As long as you are flying in and out of Orlando International it doesn't matter what airline you fly to use Magical Express.

What you are describing as not participating in is luggage delivery and Resort Check In. So for both ways you will need to handle your own luggage. Coming to Disney just go to the baggage carousel and pick up your luggage and take it with you to the magical express area. Going back to the airport you will need to take your luggage with you on the bus so if you are going to the parks that day you would leave your luggage with bell services and then come and pick it up before your ME pick up time. I would say budget 30-45 minutes for this process in case there is a wait at the desk.

No issues. You can use Magical Express for travel from and to the airport regardless of which airline you use.

However, you can only use the resort airline check-in for the following airlines:
  • Alaska Airlines
  • American Airlines
  • Delta Air Lines
  • JetBlue Airways
  • Southwest Airlines
  • United Airlines

This is not exactly correct. There is no need to pick up your luggage at the airport - as long as you put the DME tags on it, they will deliver it.

The only aspect that is affected by flying frontier is using RAC. RAC is only available for those flying certain airlines.

Thanks for that. Wasn't sure if everyone got tags or only "participating" airlines. So only RAC has participating and not participating airlines? I always see the posts that says ____ airline doesn't participating in ME so assumed they meant they don't get the yellow tags.

You see that all over the place (including the Disney website,) but it's not really correct. Everyone staying onsite is entitled to use DME.
