We are off to Spain on sunday flying with easyjet, there are 4 of us and we are allowed 20 kilo's each, now i have one holdall that weighs 9kgs, the kids suitcases weigh 6 & 9 kgs and our main case weighs 25kgs, will they take all 4 in consideration or will we be charged for the 1 that is over? Can't really take 2 bigger cases because we have only hired an economy car and don't think we'll get 2 big cases and pushchair in?

Usually it's each piece of luggage ie you can't combine, but call the airline and check for sure.

Have a nice time.

I'd have to agree with Gill; check to see if it's OK. If you are really lucky they may just take it to be the total weight (i.e. max is 20 kilos and there are 4 of you; 80 Kilo in total then..)

Good luck. :)

I think it may depend on the airline. The Health and Safety limit for baggage handlers is 32kg, so no case can be heavier than that whatever, but I flew short haul with BMI this year and there was just me and DD7. Obviously she couldn't manage a full size case, so I think mine weighed about 25kg, and hers about 8, and they had no problem combining the weight allowance (it was 20kg each).

I think the only answer is to give Easyjet a call.
