Ok... Basically I was trying to be the good wife and get dh Eagles tickets for his birthday. I just KNOW they will sell out within minutes in Buffalo on Saturday, so when I got the YAHOO email about joining the Eagles Fan Club and getting first chance at tickets... I gave it some thought. I thought, ok, I join, pay $60 and get two $85 tickets. Still worth the money to skip the hassle on Saturday trying to get tickets behind his back (for his surprise).

So, I joined. $60 later, I go to the Tickets.com website, put in my special number and get the option of $175 dollar seats! OYE! I did SOOOO not want to spend that much!

Now what? Waste the $60? Buy the $175 tickets and try to re-sell them? Right now I have the option of 11th row floor... pretty great seats, but $175 each? Hmmmm...

Or do I just suck it up, pay the price and have a great time?

Opinions?

Karen

Personally, I would buy the tickets at $175 and then try to get the $60 ones on Sat. If I couldn't get the $60 ones then I would go to the concert with the $175 tickets. If I got the $60 tickets I would sell the $175 tickets. You are taking a chance on ending up with too many tickets but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have a problem selling the extras so that's the route I would go myself.

ROTFLOL! I thought you meant the Eagles football team until I read the second post! :o :teeth: I wondered why you were afraid they would sell out so quickly! :p

I thought maybe you found a baby eagle and was thinking of keeping it as a pet ;) I was about to get my soap box out ;) ;) LMAO

Securing concert tickets, especially good ones, is tricky. To have them in hand is to have options. You can always downgrade. 11th row will probably end up being worth a lot more than $175.
Good luck.

I'd be wondering what in the holy heckfire I was spending $350 to see the Eagles for. Surprise him with a weekend trip. Or better yet, $350.

but chose not to join. Got the tickets $87.50 ones. Don't care if I can really see them, just want to be there. So am joing June 6th (in Philly).
