My brother is getting married in August and he and his bride will be flying to New York for their honeymoon. Since we are flying to his wedding, don't have a huge amount of room in the luggage and since they have lived together for years and don't really "need" anything, I thought I would get them gift certificates to enjoy their New York experience.

What would be some good ideas to get a gift certificate for in New York? A nice restaurant, tour of the city (neither have never been to the city) or is there a way to get a gift card and they could pick a broadway show? They are staying near times square. Thanks for any ideas you may have.

American Museum of Natural History Planetarium
A Comedy Club - Caroline's is usually good
Statue of Liberty
Empire State Building

Don't miss Washington square park and The Village, you don't need a gift certificate to go but it's truly a place worth visiting to see the street performers and Native NY characters

For restaurants I really like City Search because it allows you to do a search by neighborhood and it showcases places by type, like right now it is showcasing good rooftop bars.

I believe they all are but I have used the first two a couple of times as gifts, no problems at all.
