Help!! Nothing is working!

I bought about 40 clear plastic cinderella slippers from Hobby Lobby. On the back top portion of each slipper, Hobby Lobby placed a price sticker and now.....I CANNOT GET THE ADHESIVE OFF!! I've soaked the slippers in water ALL day, I've rubbed alcohol on them until my hands hurt ........... and nothing is working!! The actual sticker came off but in it's place is a square spot of sticky adhesive! It's very noticeable, too!!

Anyone else ever run into this problem and what worked for you?!

Buy some GOO GONE. You can get it at Home Depot and even some big grocery stores carry it. It gets all kinds of sticky stuff out...gum in hair, gum on clothes, etc.

It is a MIRACLE CURE!!

Lemon Juice or Vinegar can also help too, but Goo Gone sounds like the best option.

nail varnish remover and a toothbrush to scrub maybe. My brother swears by toothpaste but I'm not sure I believe him

Suggest NOT using nailpolish remover on plastic - some plastics - it will melt. GooGone will do the trick - or, if you're a scrapbooker, a product called 'undo'.

How about vegetable oil? that works with gum.

If you have an oil lamp around, just rub in a little lamp oil then wipe it off with a damp cloth. DON"T use nail polish remover. I used it once and it ate thru the surface of the plastic and made a mess.

Michael's and JoAnn's do the same thing with the coupons in the Sunday newspaper. And both usually have the cinderella slippers. I've also looked at them on ebay.

This week at Hobby Lobby, they are having their "Bridal Blowout" so all of their bridal items are 1/2 off!

The slippers are normally 4/$1..........but I bought mine during the Bridal Blowout and they were 8/$1. Not too shabby of a deal, I thought!! I am using them on all of the tables at my reception.

I vote for the Goo Gone. In our last house, there were river rocks glued to the kitchen cabinets. I guess the old owner thought that was cute. They were stuck on there with some kind of industrial adhesive, and the Goo Gone disolved it. It was great.

I agree with the goo gone to remove the sticker gook. goo gone seems to be lighter fluid, at least it smells just like it. then you just scrape it off with the little thing.

I bought those same slippers at the dollar tree. It was a package of 6 for $1. Then my father, (only a father would do this for his daughter) sat there and sawed small slices in them at the same angle of the shoe so we could use them as place card holders.

Thank you everyone for your help! I purchased some Goo Gone today and it worked PERFECTLY!! All of the slippers are clean and look very nice now! Thanks again for all of your help!!
