Ok - I havent been to the park since 1982? (at 11 yo) soooo I consider myself a newbie.

Now finally going back with 2 kids (5 &2)....
Im trying to plan a day at Epcot ....Is the ride "TEST TRACK" out of the question? I can only determine that it is probably out fromwhat I read.

Im confused because the Unofficial Guide ...had a section that had preschoolers listing it as 4 stars...but then in another section...(small-child fright-potential chart) It says Test Track - " Intense thrill ride may frighten any age...Which is it???

It really depends on your children. After the first part of the ride, it becomes very intense and fast. Actually I think it is the fastest ride in all of the parks. I know I go on it and even though I have been on it lots of times, I still get a little scared of the last part of the ride. :cool1:

IMO, it depends on your kids. TT is not a scary ride, and I'm the biggest chicken in the world. The only part that could be considered scary is a really fast circle around the test track at the end. My you or your DH should do it first and see what you think. There is a single rider line for this ride, which went pretty fast when we rode it two years ago.

It is the fastest ride in WDW (the end part of it, that is), but I think it is the least scary of all the "thrill" rides. If you think about it, most of us are riding in a car going 60+ mph everyday. IMO, it's more exhilerating than frightening. But only you know your children.

The ride is very popular because it's a crowd-pleaser... Like I said above, it's about as thrilling as you can get without being scary. Children and adults alike love this ride. However, it can be intimidating to get on in the first place. You can hear the cars going "woooosh" above your head and people cheering and screaming.

Hope this helps....

There is a 40 inch height requirement on TT so more than likely the 2 yr won't be able to ride. Your 5yr will love it. I have 3 kids ( 4, 6 and 8 ) My 8yr old is the biggest chicken ever but loves TT. My 6yr is a daredevil and is getting a little bored but this past trip was my 4yr 1st time tall enough. He was terrified, but he ended up loving the ride and we went on several times. Walking up to the pavillion you hear the cars running on the track and that can be a little intimidating but it is a great ride. :Pinkbounc

mikkiwikki, those kids that go on it, rate it 4 stars. I took my DD7 on it when she was 5, and she didn't have any problems with it. IMHO, it's like going fast with the windows down...like my sister drives. Ha! Just kidding.
