We are at the Fort now and plans have changed so we can extend our stay from 12/31 to 1/1. Any suggestions on how to get a site. I have noticed sites available in the Fort with none showing up on-line. Any suggestions.

Go to the front desk and see if you can extend. Also call reservations line from your cell phone and see if you can extend.

I have tried the front office and reservations. I know that they have both said there was no availability in the past when there have been a lt f open sites.

just stay on your site,,DON'T LEAVE, and don't answer the door if someone knocks.
Really,,have you EVER seen or heard of Disney removing a camper/people from a site ???

Kidding,, just keep bugg'n the front desk til you get what you want. Course if they do let you stay the xtra night you'll most likely havta move to another site.

Go down to the front desk and ask if it's possable to stay longer last year we did this and had luck extending our stay like the old saying go's nothing ventured nothing gained... You have nothing to lose... well maybe your site good luck K.:thumbsup2

You can't go by empty sites. They may be booked and people haven't arrived yet. They may be occupied by winter campers that left for a short time to visit another part of Florida. The people on them may have left to do sight-seeing or had to have the MH/RV repaired. Lots of reasons why sites are empty and yet still occupied.

In the past, I've just repeatedly called CRO until I finally got a "yes"!

Actually, you can just STAY. Although, not a very nice thing to do, I don't think they can legally make you leave. They can charge you the absolute highest rate they have though.

Also, instead of asking for 1 night, ask if you can stay another week and magically a site may be open! Then you can just cancel the other nights later today.
