We currently have a studio booked at BWV for Sat, May 11 - Sat, May 18, 2002. In order to be able to use OnePass miles for our flights, we have to come home on Fri night, May 17. I was thinking about changing our reservation to a one bedroom.

My question is in order to use fewer points, I was thinking about paying cash for the Saturday night and using pts for the rest. Can I do that and can they connect the two so we don't have to change rooms.

Hope I haven't confused anyone and thanks!

Yes, you can do that- IF the cash night is available. You don't mention which resort you are staying at, but the cash night will need to be reserved thru MS (you might even be able to get a 10% DVC discount) and they can link the point ressie and cash ressie together.

MS will not usually have cash reservations available this far in advance, but it can't hurt to ask.

Good Luck!

You do have a couple of options. Check with MS and see if there are any DVC cash discounts available for the Saturday night. If available, they will link your point and cash reservation. Because your travel date is in May, they may not have any cash reservations available this far in advance of your arrival date. DVC cash discounts are 25% off the rack rates. We have done this a couple of times in the past and we always found our reservations linked and had no problems.

You can also all CRO and ask for a reservation for that Saturday night. Make sure you let them know if you have a AP/PAP or Disney Club membership. Sometimes discounts are available. However, once again, they might not be available this early. If you do go with CRO, keep calling back every now and then, or watch the resorts board here for an announcent of AP/PAP room discounts. Once you have a CRO reservation, call MS and advise them to note it on your DVC reservation. We've never done this, but I've heard reports that this works fine too, and you won't have to check out/check in between your points and cash night. Perhaps someone whos had experience with this will respond to your post too.

Good luck!
