Hello! I need to pick allbyour brains.

Booked a trip towards the end of next year to florida. 15 nights with the last 8 being on site disney.

Really struggling with what to book up for the first 7 though having never stayed offsite. We want the below

Villa/or resort. Some where 3 bedrooms and libing space fo relax in the evening with sleeping children. Kitchen

Not too far from some decent places to eat. Eg. 15 mins

Wont be visiting disney do procimity to here isnt key but would like to be near stuff to do. Will be doing legiland ab universal

Safe

Pool

Walmart or similar not far

I dont really know where to start to be honet! Some people of suggested specific villas in past but i dont know where is a good location (especially for restaurants) etc. really a bit lost! Bonnett creek looks bice but seems fully booked which is a shame(think my wife may prefer a villa but we are still discussing)

Anyone recommend a good site?

There are various sites mentioned on this forum where you seek a villa

But there are owners out there also who might help you.

Another Co. to try is IPG Florida Vacation Homes on the Hwy 192

at the Hwy 27 end www.ipgflorida.com

Or try carol@cgorlando.com

Both of the above rent out Private villas on behalf of owners.

look them up.... and see for yourself.

Great thanks for the info! Can u inbox me details?

Been looking at somewhere called reunion that looks nice and safe and decent location. We like the idea of a gated community

Do you need pool heating (it seems pricey)

Do people make offers on renting a place or is it a case of fixed price?

Think we def want a small villa as we want to eat etc when kids in pool

There s just soooooo many places out there!

As you will see from our signature we have been visiting WDW for some considerable time and have stayed both on and off site in hotels and villas. Our preferred place to stay in a Villa is Indian Creek however that's because we like to visit Disney and really aren't bothered about Universal. From Indian Creek we can be on Disney property in 10 minutes and are also within easy reach of Super Target/Publix on the 192 as well as lots and lots of good places to eat at Formosa Gardens and the 192 (Bahama Breeze, Chuys, Sweet Tomatoes, Carrabbas, Cracker Barrell, Texas Roadhouse, Orlando Ale House..... I could go on and on). You're also handy (using the Western Beltway)for the I4 to Legoland, Tampa (Bush Gardens) and beyond for beaches. Universal usually takes us 25 - 30mins. We have stayed at other gated communities in the area but like Indian Creek and stay in villas with lots of bedrooms, pools, ensuite bathrooms, games rooms etc. We don't care to travel as far out as Highway 27 and last year found the roadworks along to the 192 a real hold up and nuisance. We have always been lucky and have stayed in lovely villas with lovely owners and have had a fabulous time.

Great thanks that s really helpful info will have a look at IndianCreek. Who do you usually Book though?

Also do u think pool heat is required?

I have booked villas via www.vrbo.com in the past successfully as well as contacting owners via www.indiancreekflorida.com, the Indian Creek Owner's Association. They email all owners with your dates and accommodation requirements and then owners can get back to you with their availability. Owners are keen to rent their accommodation and are very often happy to negotiate on price to secure your business. We have stayed at Summer, October, Christmas and Easter and haven't used pool heat however we are hardy Scots! I would say Christmas is the only time we were probably sorry we didn't use heat however as I said, the weather in Florida is a bit warmer than in Glasgow!
Happy planning!

Hi

We've stayed a Windsor Hills in a condo the last 5 times we've been it's good value and perfect for Disney, everything is 5 - 10 mins away shopping eating Disney etc. Happy to give a recommendation if you need it, as all properties are owned and therefore some better than others. There are villa's and town houses as well.

Regards

Paul

I doubt Bonnet Creek is fully booked already it is huge, I certainly hope it is not as that is where I want to stay.

Not sure if im doing something wrong then. Looking for 29 sept to6th oct. 2 adults 1 child 1 infant

Yes, you can negotiate ... Don't be too cheeky but always ask the owner for their best price.

Stayed at several over the years, those on US27 IMHO are too far out, Reunions lovely but way more expensive than most and not worth the extra I don't think, Tuscany/Calabria on Westside are nice and well located but for us it's defo Famosa Gardens area ... Try Indian Creek, great location and good value too.

We always book through either the owners direct website or Homeaway website.

Hope this helps.

Sharon

I know it is Condos and not Villas but we have one of the best ever holidays at Lake Buena Vista Resort and spa. Just across the road from Walmarts plenty restaurants nearby and my kids maintain it had the best pool in Orlando
