I called Disney Dining to order an anniversary cake (The famous Castle) and a birthday cake for my DS. They told me that I had to contact the resturant where will be eating, directly. When I called R&C, they told me they had no idea about special cakes that look like the castle. :confused3

Any suggestions as to what to do next?

:Pinkbounc i'd like to know too..........i called the main # for the mk because i want a castle cake for my anniversary dinner........they had no clue as to what i was talking about! i will be at crt for the dinner and they told me they have a 6 inck cake that says happy anniversary with a pic of mickey mouse (but not minnie with him! :confused3 ) which is 12.50......i want the castle cake gf makes but they won't deliver to crt!

For something special in the EPCOT or EPCOT resort area you might try the Boardwalk Bakery. You could also see if you can pick up a castle cake from GF yourself... I don't know of any other places that do them.

This cake is $40.00 for the cake and $12.00 for the white chocolate mickeyand minnie topper from the Grand Floridian Bakery.
Its called a 6inch topper although it is very tall and can feed about 4 or more. They can box up extras for you.
This is the direct number to the bakery for any of these items 407-824-2982

This is the slipper and it is $15.00

This is the mini castle cake and it is $25.00, also it is only about the size of a cupcake and meant for 1 serving.

Also they can do just about any other design etc. that you want. They need at least 48 hours in advance but you can order much farther ahead than that if you like. Also these are only available at the GF restaurants unless you personally go to thebakery and pick it up(can not have slippers to go). You can make a priority seating for Criticos, Narcoossee's, The Grand Floridian Cafe, or the afternoon tea at the Graden View Lounge and they will deliver them there. You pay when the bill comes for your meal but they will take a credit card number when ordering just incase you cancle or do not show up.

Those pictures (the slipper dessert and mini-wedding cake) look familiar LOL. Actually the mini wedding cake was more filling than we expected but then we shared that with the slipper dessert.

The GF bakery will delivery to all the GF restaurants.

Oh my gosh that mickey/minnie anniversary cake is gorgeous. We're celebrating our anniversary at Le Cellier on 10/4 - too bad that we couldn't get that cake delivered there :guilty:

you can ask Le Cellier if it's cool with them if you picked up the cake from the Boardwalk bakery. They also make them (I've had both the GF and the BW make them and I preferred the BW by a tiny margin) and are only a 10 minute walk to Le Cellier!

Ha Ha yeah.Hope you dont mind just found them on the food porn thread and put them here. Some people seem to be confused on what the mini castle cakes are. :wave2:

We were there in June and got the mini wedding cake and the slipper dessert from GF to go. We took them back to POP and both desserts made the trip fine. :)
The first time I called the GF bakery the chef said we couldn't get the desserts to go because it wouldn't make the trip. :guilty: I called back another day and talked to someone named Michelle at the GF and she said yes I can get the desserts to go. :) DH and I both thought the slipper dessert was the best.

Thanks for the info - I'll have to think about our schedule that day and see if it is even a possibility for me to do that :goodvibes

We're having my dd's birthday dinner at O'Hana on Dec. 11 (her request of restaraunt and she's only 6!) and she wants a Princess themed cake. Has anyone ever gotten anything like that from O'Hana or would you suggest that I call the GF bakery and pick it up? That would be a bit of a hassle since we'll be in the MK during the day, O'Hana for dinner and then back to MK for MVMCP...somebody help!

Can you have a filling in these specialty cakes. If so GF or BW bakery or both? Our disney wedding cake had raspberry mousse in it. Shamefully, we barely ate any of it because we had THE SLIPPER DESSERT YUMMY. I would like to try to get a cake similar to the wedding cake for our anniversary in december.

Yes you can. The only thing is in the little ones I believe that you can not have the fresh fruit in the mini cakes.

That cake would be perfect for our 10th wedding anniversary. Anyone have the boardwalk bakery #?

That cake topper is adorable! Who did you ever eat it?!? :rotfl:

I wonder if it would make a plane ride home....

We are eating in Epcot, but sadly they will not deliver! I think I may opt to try to bring it in... Bummer though, b/c I wanted it to be a surprise! :confused3
