I will be in France on business at the end of May. At the end of my conference, I can stay over 2 nights and have a day (May 31) at Disneyland Paris. I'm excited because I've never been to Disneyland Paris before.

I will fly out of Roissy on June 1. Do you recommend a hotel room at the airport for May 30, 31 with me having to find a way to get to Disneyland and back on May 31, or a room at a Disneyland hotel where I'd have to get to the airport on June1 by mid-day? I can do either option.

I am considering price as well as convenience in the decision. The Hyatt at Roissy looks good for about $180 per night. The Disneyland hotel came up at over $1,000 per night in my search. :scared1:

From what I can tell online, if I book a Disney hotel for the two nights, they'd include 3 days of Disneyland admission. I only need admission for 1 day! Is it even possible to book a room without admission included?

So, which hotel do you recommend? Which transfer service between Disneyland and Roissy? Are there taxi's available or buses?

No one has any suggestions?

I would recommend staying at DLP if at all possible. The Disneyland Hotel is the absolute most expensive hotel you could find in the area! There are other options as well that will set you back much less money. Hotel Santa Fe doesn't have all the bells and whistles but you're close to the parks and Village. Just a little farther away is Val-de-France. There are some decently-priced options there that are only a five to ten minute bus ride away from the parks. You can choose from the Explorers Hotel, Holiday Inn(a very nice one), Dream Castle and Kyriad. It will be MUCH easier to stay at DLP and then head back to CDG to catch your flight. It is about a 10 minute TGV ride from the Marne-la-Vallee station to CDG.

Is Roissy airport another name for CDG? If so you can easily get the VEA shuttle bus to DLP or even catch a train - see the useful information thread at the top. I personally would choose to stay at either a DLP hotel or one of its neighbouring hotels - again see useful information thread above. The DLH is the most expensive but there are many other more reasonably priced hotels. You would be able to book a neighbouring hotel without park tickets if you prefer.

Hi Inkmahm and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

You need to remember that with the time difference most will not have seen your post until the evening :)

I'd definitely concur that staying on-site would be better than having to travel from the airport to the parks :)

Thanks! That's the kind of info I was looking for. Is it safe to assume that any of the hotels in the Disneyland area will have shuttle bus service to the parks?

Is it easy to get from Hotel Santa Fe to the station I need to use to get to CDG?

All the onsite Disney hotels are within walking distance to the park and also to the station which is at the park entrance. They are all served by shuttle bus as well (the bus stops are outside the station. The only one not served by bus is the Disneyland hotel which is at the park entrance and 2 mins walk from the station. Also you need a car if staying at the Davy Crocket Ranch

The Val de France hotels mentioned are all served by shuttle bus but again are walkable if needed.

Other hotels in local area either have a shuttle bus, RER (train) station nearby to take you to the parks or public bus service

Must be a busy weekend, the Disney owned hotels are booked. What about the Holiday Inn at Disneyland Resort Paris?
Is this a nice hotel?

We stayed at Holiday inn last summer and really liked it. We have also stayed at Explorers which is nearby and liked that as well.

Its proabaly busy as most English schools have a half term break at the end of May

Uh oh. I guess that means the parks will be crowded on the Saturday that I can be there. My schedule isn't flexible though so I have to take the opportunity to go when I can.

What about Kyriad Hotel At Disneyland Resort Paris? That one looks good, too.

I'd expect the parks to be busy that weekend.

We've stayed in the Holiday Inn twice and apart from the disappointing breakfast have enjoyed the accomodation.
The hotel is served by a shuttle bus that only takes approx 10 minutes to get to teh parks :)

Breakfast doesn't matter much to me, I can always snack in the parks! :)

Have you stayed at the Kyriad Hotel? It's just a little cheaper but it has wireless and A/C. (I'm American, we LOVE our A/C. :) )

I'm American as well and love AC and I think that Holiday Inn has it too if I remember correctly. I have to be completely frank with you about one thing...You will probably not have time to worry about the internet. You're going to be in Paris enjoying the beautiful sights and two amazing parks. Unless you absolutely have to conduct business try to enjoy yourself! :thumbsup2

I don't even bother to take my computer to WDW but on this trip to France, I'll be there primarily for business so the lap top will be with me. Rather than phone home at outrageous cell phone costs, I'll probably just use the computer to email my husband back at home. He won't be with me on this trip, I'll be solo. :(

The Holiday Inn site says there's A/C in the public areas but doesn't say the individual rooms have it. A/C is MUCH more important to me than the internet or breakfast. I'm guessing it won't be too hot at the end of May but you never know when there could be a heatwave.

It sounds like I won't have any trouble getting to the parks from any of these hotels and getting to the airport by train shouldn't be too tough, either. That's good news!

In another thread, I read that staying at Hôtel l'Elysée Val d'Europe means I can get in to the parks for early morning magic hours. True?

This hotel is available for my dates through my coporate expedia account without having to book through Disney and do a package deal with tickets I don't need for 3 days. It is cheaper than either of the first two hotels I was asking about... (and it has A/C :cool1: )

Yes that hotel does give EMH same as other onsite Dis hotels - that would be real advantage to beat the crowds.

Holiday Inn does have AC in rooms

Wonderful! Now that I'm starting to plan this, I think I'm going to use a vacation day so that I can have two days for the parks instead of just one. And now that I know I can get EMH that's even better. At WDW, I'm there from the first moment the park opens with EMH until evening when my feet finally have had enough.

Hope my last post didnt confuse you its only Elysee Val d'Europe that offers EMH along with onsite hotels but not the Val de France ones (Holiday Inn, Explorers, Kyriad, Dream Castle)

Ive just checked for you and EMH is on 8-10am during May so if you could access it it would give you 2hrs start on other guests. There arent loads of rides open during EMH - few in Fantasyland and Discoveryland (If you want the list let me know and I'll post them again) but it gives you a head start and positioned in the right place you can be near the front of lines for other rides or head towards the studios

I've stayed at l'Elysee and the hotel room was good. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that but it has the convenience of being opposite the shopping centre where you can eat. Scheduled shuttle or you can also catch the train - DLP is next stop and inexpensive.
