We're now 151 days out (yes I'm counting!!) for our next trip. I've been to WDW four times before with my parents - last time was in 2000. My DBF is a newbie, and is VERY excited.

I'm in full planning mode - the ADR's are booked, rough plan laid out, Pirate & Princess party tickets bought etc etc.

Now I'm trying to spread some pixie dust! I've thought of a few things to add a little more Disney magic to the trip e.g. the first night we get there I'm going to set up the Disney Wake Up call and get him to answer it, as he won't be expecting Mickey / Stitch on the other end. Just little things he doesn't know about...

But the next thing on my list was to plan what to order from Peggy for DBF's surprise gift basket for our anniversary. I've contacted Peggy a few times to add products not in her original list.... but as we now know Peggy has got herself a great job and will no longer be doing baskets. Very pleased for her but I'm now left with a bit of a problem - what to do for the surprise??!!

Gifts of a Lifetime is out of my price range.

My latest idea is to make a similar basket at home, give it to DBF for Christmas (3 weeks before our trip) with a postcard from Mickey saying he can't wait to see him. I figured it would be a great pretrip surprise, and add to the excitement of the countdown.

But how to do this?? I live in England and really wanted Disney snacks and chocolate from Florida (the ones in the Disney store in England are no where near as good).

Has anyone got any ideas how I could get some of this shipped over? Just like some Mickey choc bars, Disney pretzels, goofy candy etc etc.

Also does anyone know how I could arrange a postcard from Mickey?!!

Sorry this is a bit long!!

Maybe take a look at the Disney Florist http://www.disneyflorist.com/. Again, not what Peggy had (she sure will be missed), but I have used them before and they are pretty good too. Sounds like a great trip you are planning, my best.

You could also try calling the Walt Disney World Mail order and they can work with you to ship you anything they sell in the parks: candy, t-shirts, autograph books, etc.

GOOD LUCK!!! :dogdance:

I was thinking of sort of the same thing--I was going to put together a box and mail it down to be waiting for us when we check in.

Here in the states I am starting to notice that some of our discount stores and drug stores have Disney food items. I have been able to find Disney microwvae popcorn, those big MIckey Mouse lollipops, Disney shortbread cookies and Disney themed fruit snacks and fruit roll ups there. Maybe you could check around?

Do you have Paypal account? PM me and I can pick up some stuff at the end of September and mail it over to you. I also have a stack of Disney postcards that I'm sure Mickey will sign for you. The chocolate bars, pretzels and Goofy candy are all easily accessible on our way out of Epcot. Let me know if there's anything else you need.
