We normally arrive early afternoon and we go to EPCOT to ride Test Track and eat dinner at Garden Grill. But on our upcoming trip, our flight is supposed to land at 7:45AM, so we'll get to Disney earlier.

We're staying at BWV so I was thinking about walking over to HS for a little while, and then go to EPCOT later. Hoping that maybe our room will be ready so we freshen up a bit before going to EPCOT. We do have park hoppers.

Or just go to EPCOT earlier and have lunch instead of dinner at GG. Hours aren't released yet for when we're going, but if the trend continues EPCOT will be having PM EMH on that Tuesday. So maybe by going earlier and then doing something else in the evening might be a good choice?

Or I can change our flight and land at 5:40PM and save $40. But that limits what we would be able to do on our arrival day. But saving money is always a good thing!

We're going May 29-June 5, staying at BWV with 7 day park hoppers.

My opinion is just go to Epcot earlier. We have park hoppers too, but the day we get in next month we are just gonna head to Epcot, ride Test Track, Spaceship Earth and FEA and spend the rest of the time chilling trying Food & Wine goodies.

You may be more of a gambler than I am, so ignore this if you are, but I wouldn't make a lunch ADR for arrival day. Too many variables and ways for flights to be delayed. Just go to your favorite EP QS place and maybe get a day-of ADR for dinner somewhere.

$40 a person or $40 total saved? If it's $40 total, I'd stick with the earlier flight. As you know, your room probably won't be ready, and people will be tired, so I wouldn't plan on too much. I know when we arrived at BWI on one trip around 1pm, we were all very, very tired that evening! Maybe relax at the pool until your room is ready, then go to Epcot for the evening?

If you said you were saving $400 then maybe worth it to change flights but not for $40. It looks like your dates are right at the end of flower and garden - although i read somewhere that it usually goes until memorial day which is 5/28/18, so it looks like you will miss it by one day :worried:. If you hit Epcot your first day the topiaries should still be up. I think your plan to hit HS first would be good, it tends to not be a full day park so you could hit until the afternoon (3ish) hopefully have your room ready and then go to Epcot for a 6pm dinner check out the park a little and then call it an early evening. I am sure with an early flight you will all be tired.

I know it's a gamble, but it's our arrival day tradition. I should have mentioned it would be a late lunch, maybe around 2. I would think if we land at 7:45, that should give us plenty of time.

$40 total, so not sure saving that amount is worth giving up almost a full day at Disney. We are used to getting up early so the early flight won't bother us. We'll probably be ready to go back to the resort and relax in the early evening.

I didn't even think about maybe being able to see some of the topiaries from the flower and garden festival. We might have to try and check those out.

Yeah, no way would I change to a flight that much later to only save $40!
I say just go to Epcot earlier and have a great start to your trip!
