Going down in February staying at the Poly Saturday 2/11-2/18 on a DVC reservation.

Airfare is $200 cheaper per person if I fly Friday night opposed to Saturday morning so I’m leaning towards doing that but no rooms available to add the extra night at Poly. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel semi close to Disney world that checks off the boxes below?

1) Clean

2) Has a decent place to eat in hotel or with in walking distance

3) Isn’t crazy big, (wife is going to be cranky with us having to lug little guy and luggage an extra time lol)

4) this one is a bonus one but would be cool if they had a play area for a toddler.

Thank you very much for your help!

With that little one I’d see if Disney had a cheapish resort available. That way Disney transfers the luggage to Poly and you’re in The Bubble. My favorite Moderate+ is Coronado Springs Tower rooms if they have anything available (as a convention resort it can be tough). The rooms are as fancy as deluxe hotels, indoor hallways if you score a tower room and multiple on-site dining options. If you’re in the tower the walk to your room will be short and the elevators will be fast.

What's your budget? Do you have a car? Pop has rooms on 2/10 for $251+tax (I priced for two adults and an under three). That'll put you on property, with skyliner access, and apparently they have a playground.

Just checking Expedia if you want something cheaper "SPOT X by Red Collection - Orlando/International Dr" and "Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista, an IHG Hotel" would be on my radar based on your parameters and the reviews and images, but I haven't personally stayed at either.

We usually use these “one night” stays as a chance to stay somewhere new. In your position (if it wouldn’t eat up all of the savings from the airfare) I would look at Saratoga Springs. You will be able to park right outside of your villa, and Disney Springs is a short walk (or boat ride) away depending on where you are in the resort.

I should have added no car, and ideally I wanted to be under $200 but could go a few extra dollars if it made sense.

Pop could work, I could have them transfer and make that first full day my Hollywood studios or Epcot day.

Saratoga springs was another that came to mind, it still has studios available and I did consider buying points from someone on here in the sales room and having them book that for me. I am actually staying there for my upcoming Dec trip. I was thinking If I go preferred room and could get congress park I could walk to Disney springs that first night.

I will check and see if they have anything in my price range, I’ve never stayed there and that sounds like it could be nice

Unfortunately I don’t think you’ll find what you’re after on-site with a price range under $200.

Not sure when your flight arrives, but the convenience of the on-site hotel at MCO is great! Have stayed there twice w/o issues. If you are coming in later, you could stay there and take your transportation first thing in the AM to your resort.

Have you tried calling them? After playing with multiple dates we saw a room available for the night we needed but couldn't book it because it was part of a 4 night stay. I called them and they were able to add it to my existing reservation.

The rooms are pretty steep, but my little guy LOVES planes so the runway room would probably be pretty amazing for him. I’m gonna keep checking and see if prices come down a bit

I haven’t but I can try that, thank you!
