Ok, so I had to go back to my foot doctor today and I am back in an immobilizer, well right now a walker boot, because my new brace is being made. Are there any rides I wil have to skip because of this?

I know I will have to take it easier and be more aware of what I am doing. I will have an ECV at my disposal 24/7. I spent the summer in this boot, but I will be out doing alot more than I would do at work, I mostly sit behind a desk, but do have to visit patients and go to meetings.

I can't see a reason that you can't go on anything that you want. The only problem might be if it hinders you too much for getting in and out of things where you have to step down into it, like Test Track and POTC, but I don't see that being much of an issue either.

I agree with peemagg.

There won't be anything you would be prohibited from going on, but there may be some things that are hard to step into.
I've only got a few minutes, so I'll point you towards page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread which has a list of attractions for each park with how difficult they may be to get into.

depending on the dates - I like to remind people that dont know Marathon weekend is Jan 6-8 - with morning traffic on the Sat and Sun can be a bit much - but if you're aware, you can be prepared!

Have a great trip!

Yes, that is our arrival weekend. What time do the events take place? We will mostly use Disney transportation and we at at BWI and most of our dining is right there or at Epcot.

Thank you for the replies, I didn't think there would be much I wouldn't be able to ride, but I will turn back if I have a problem. he only one that I can think of that I really wanted to ride is RNRC and I may have to skip that or try to go when/if the line is shorter. As long as I have DH there to help me, I should be fine.

since I've only participated - Saturday is the Half and Sunday is the Full - both end in Epcot.

we stay at Boardwalk resorts- take the busses to the start line - we leave at 4am - dh runs the Full (and half, he's Goofy!) The race starts between 6 am - and 6:30 am - runners run from Epcot to Magic Kingdom in the Half, then back to Epcot - it took me 3 hours and 30 min - from 6:30 am - They make anyone slower get on a bus - since they try and keep the roads to the thousands of runners before the parks open -

so if you are at Epcot - you will be fine - the crowds are for runners and family cheering and dont really impact the rides from what I've read (can you imagine running for 3 hours? getting up at 3am? Too tired!! We do impact the restaurants I suppose!!)

Just having the information will have you informed -

I know for the half I ran into epcot up to that world showcase, turned around ran back down by the guest relations and a left by the restrooms - where the finish line is -

the Full marathon - they run in all 4 parks, I know i have read that a very small few have been known to jump in the single rider line at EE and ride that - :scared1: but again, if you dont maintain the time - you are "swept"

it does impact the busses - so if you plan on being in Epcot - go to the monorail to MK or walk over to studios... or hang in epcot! just for Saturday and Sunday mornings - by 11 or 12, the impact on traffic should be over...
