Hi guys...I hope you don't mind a Mom posting here but I was curious and I thought it would help if I hand advice from all of you...

For my trip to the Poly next november I wanted to suprise my two kids DS 6 and DD 12 with little gift basket type suprises.

DS 6 is very easy but DD 12 is a bit difficult..you see she is pretty mellow and is not obsessed with having to always be super cool (material cool) she still loves disney and loves hanging with mom and dad so I was curious whats good to put in a basket (i.e. little things under $20) that are semi disney related?
THANKS SO MUCH;)

for the DD, who is my age, who is mellow like me, I would suggest just little
trinkets from the disney store. also is there a special disney character she like's or some one from the disney channel? If so then you should probobley do a character themed basket. hope this helps!:)

Hey. I'm just like your daughter. I'm not all into material things either but I'm 15 now. I still shop at the Disney store at the mall. For Christmas my mom puts the little nick nack gifts you get at the front in our stockings. And if she is more into Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more "teenagerish" movies you can buy t-shirts and flip flops and stuff like that at the Disney store. I still ware Nightmare Before Christmas shirts. But I hope I can help you out...:confused3 :upsidedow

I am around that age, and I like disney.
I like stitch, ariel, and jack skelington the best. [=
so you should probably get something character themed.
and maybe something they like, that isnt disney.

I would put in a small stuffed animal that is her favorite disney character and maybe put in a disposable camera, and a few pins(if she collects them) or an autograph book?

If your not completely sure of what she is interested in for the basket, maybe ask her some random questions of what she is interested in or maybe want's to start collecting?

Not sure if your daughter is into them, but in my experience you can't go wrong with plushies. I like the idea of a character specific basket, too, with a few small items themed to a certain favorite character.

How about a stuffed disney plushie with a bunch of other disney goodies? Do you have a Disney Store around you? You can get them stickers, playing cards, candy...etc.

Pins. Get a lanyard and some cute pins with her favorite characters. Also, you can find little cookies and stuff sometimes shaped like the characters, decorated, course.

::yes:: Good ideas.

Thanks everyone so much...
My daughter and I are more like friends than mother and daughter so I know what she likes
you were right Jack Skellington, Alice in Wonderland, Tinkerbell, Pirates, etc.

I love the gift basket with plushies and pins..
major pin collecter doesn't trade but we spent $$$$$$ on our last trip buying her pins...so some pins in the begginging of the trip might lessen the urge to nag me for pins
Thanks

I would say little things. Candy, pens, stuffed animals, flip flops and just little cute things :)

if she is going on this trip let her pick a pearl in japan in epcot. a great experiance and not that expensive

You could maybe get her a solid color photo album and get some disney stickers to put on it. To go with the photo album, you could get her a couple of disposable cameras if she doesn't already have her own. Then, when she gets the pictures developed, She can put her disney pictures in her disney photo album.

Putting the stickers on the binder/album helps pass time while on the ride to the World.

I don't know. It sounded like a good idea to me.

My mom did something similar. For us, she did a Minnie and Mickey theme for my brother and I (I was probably 14ish though...I'm almost 19 now and still am obsessed). I remember getting a pretty minnie mouse pen, a calculator (very cool stuff), a plush, and a few other gifts. They were useful and fun to bring back to school to show off. She also got us some neat gifts from "Tinkerbell" which she put under our pillows at night while we were asleep. One was a CM-looking personalized "name-tag" (I can't tell you how often people mistake me for a CM at Disney and how giggly it still makes me). Another was a personalized fleece blanket (which I still use now). Another was a cool Tinkerbell pen (ok...ok...which I now lost). And yes, if she is a pin collector...I HIGHLY recommend pins. Hope this helps!

And it's nice to see that some moms and daughters are just as much friends as mom and daughter still. My mom and I are like that. If you need any more ideas, let me know!

u may not like this but leave little items laying around in her room like pins on her dresser flip flop where she puts her shoes and hide little clues on the things id do it but do it when she is not around its more suprising if u dont tell her:thumbsup2

I'm also like your daughter and I'm around her age.I suggest to get her one of those little snowglobes that has her fave character in it.At lest thats what I like.:confused3 I hope I could be of an assitance to your question.:)
