Hi all looking for a good price for next Aug 2012.

My girl friend is a School teacher so we need to be back for 31 Aug.

I have been once before so am pretty confident with every thing now.

It is free dinning next august but we will be upgrading to the table service dinning plan. (not the deluxe one)

Looked on the disney website and got the following prices (inc dinning plan flights and 14 day ticket)

All Star - £4381.51
POFQ - £4321.06
AKL - £4986.04

Also called Travel city and got the following price ((inc dinning plan flights and 14 day ticket)

Saratoga springs £4467
POFQ £4579

SS was on offer and as it is a deluxe it had the dinning plan we wanted included. Was just wondering what you thought of the prices, if there were any good deals out there I was missing. What is DIY pricing coming out at? Looked at virgin flights and at they were 1300PP

Thank in advance:goodvibes

IMO I find DIY the best option for us. Last year i noticed a room rate drop of £500 in total after i booked the holiday, when i phoned Disney up they just cancelled the first booking (£50 charge) and re booked it, saving us £450.Saying that if there is a good deal to be had with a tour operator, grab it.
Have a price in mind you are prepared to pay, if you find it, then you should be happy with that.
As far as flights are concered you can only book 11 months out which means Aug 2012 wont be out yet.If you are looking at Aug 2011 prices they could be misleading, as i have be tracking August flight prices since september and they have fluctuated from £600 pp - £1400 pp, its supply and demand, they will change them accordingly with no notice :headache:
Have you looked at Complete Orlando and Charter Travel, they can be competitive.
Good Luck:)

Far too early for DIY IMO. I won't start looking for flights until 11 months out (Sept 2011)

Just priced up OKW on Disney.co.uk £2,235 for 2 adults, 14 nights incl 2 x 14 day ultimates and free DDP. less 3% Quidco = £2,168

Complete Orlando for the same are quoting £2,096
Add your flights you should be able to beat £4,467 you have been quoted by TCD easily.

I'm looking for next August, but haven't found any quotes for flights yet!

Only way you can book so far out is a flydrive, a package or an agent like Charter travel but you will usually pay a premium for booking it so early.
Flight only are not released until 11 months from your return date.

Thanks every one ao far for all their help. Thank you!

Thinking DIY is the best option then... How much do you think flights would be and when is the best time to book.

Do you think the best option would be wait for flights book them then book hotel and tickets.

Thanks every one

I prefer to book flights 1st but last year booked room 1st, after booking flights I then had to ring Disney to add another day with no fees, if you have to remove days you have a £50 fee so its better if you have your flight dates fixed 1st. Its not always possible though if you are waiting for a flight deal.
Flight prices are almost impossible to predict. For this year Virgin/BA at times were from £700pp (our dates now in economy are £1,284) we booked using Miles and Money (VA) economy out, PE return at £880pp (now they want £1,367) so you need to book at the right time, sometimes on release sometimes you have to wait for an offer.
If you are willing to fly indirect then again its a waiting game, I helped Mart(burt) book recently, he waited and waited for an offer for this August ended up paying £380pp

Wow £380 that's an amazing price!

Was only going to look at direct flight but at that price in drirect looks amazing! Does it add much more time?

Any help would be welcome where is the best places to look for flights.

Thank you all so much

I know most people prefer direct but never rule out indirect, 2 years ago I got indirect Business class for £470pp(price error) enjoyed it so much booked it again last August for £1,170, not cheap but on the day I booked Virgin were asking £1,300 for economy.

In Feb we left Manchester same time as VA flight, they got there for about 3:30pm, we went indirect and got there just after 6pm. but they still had immigration to do in Orlando we could walk straight out of the airport having already done immigration in Philly. Virgin passengers would probably also have to go find a meal, we ate in Philly airport.
All down to connection times but get good times and the difference is minimal.

You need to search multiple sites, Kayak.co.uk, travelsupermarket.com, any others you can find and have time to use.
