some of you know, my dw had a stroke a few weeks back. we have since discovered that our family dr has ignored her cholesterol levels (quote: your cholesterols a little high, eat oat meal or cheerios once a day for the next six weeks) and now its at a very dangerously high level. shes been given a scrip for lipitor, and is still eating cheerios, but i need some alternative recipees to help get it down and keep it there. we already do a lot of things that are supposed to help, ie 0 fat margerine, canola oil, yogurt for snacks, but i need ideas. we are going to change meats from fried to baked/broiled/grilled, and already eat a fair amount of beans...
