I need to know the following...
how can I figure out the hours of daylight for the spring & fall equinoxes and how can I figure out the hours of daylight for the summer & winter solstices
for a certain US town?

Thanks.

Wow, this is a first! A question no one has ever asked on the Dis, a question no one here probaby even ever thought of!

I googled it and got this. It has the information for 2000-2010. Does that help?

Sunrise and Sunset for a particular location can usually be found on the weather page for that location.

I needed the amount of daylight & this will sound odd, but hours aren't in Base 10, they're in a Base where every "60" of something (seconds/minutes/hours) equals the next measurement up the scale and my brain is fried and I was having trouble figuring it out.

I did find two websites http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunrise.html that I was able to put at least major cities into plus
the official US Naval Observatory website
http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php

and I think I've gotten it all finally straightened out now.
