I can't believe that my DD has outgrown her bathing suits since the end of August. Where am I supposed to find a bathing suit in October in New Jersey!!!! Any suggestions are welcome. We will be driving to Disney next week so if anyone can even tell me where to look when we get there it would be helpful. I don't want to waste alot of time shopping!!!!!!

How about Ebay? Or check your local stores (Walmart, Target, Penny's, Filenes and Sears) they might have some left at a really CHEAP price. I know I saw a few at Walmart for only $5.00.

Or just wait til you get there. There are plenty at stores down there

You didn't say what size, but you might try kidssurplus.com, they have a fair number left, mostly for $10 and under.

Bunnycreek.com has some on clearance, too, but only for babies and toddlers.

Last, you can almost always get kids athletic-style suits at dance-supply shops. These will cost you, though.

If you have a Once Upon a Child or Kids Orchard in your area, call them and ask. They usually just put their summer stock away to be sold next season. These will be secondhand, but if you only need to get one wearing out of them, that should be OK.

My tried and true favorite:

Land's End overstocks

Land's End

Awesome quality, great customer service, and the stuff wears like IRON!

Good Luck!!

Ditto Lands End. And you could get a rush on them by paying a little bit more.

The Walmart in Kissimee had a lot of them on clearance.. I also know that they have them year round...

Hi Lisa ... I think Land's End may be your best bet too. I'm also in NJ and we are taking AMTRAK down to Disney next week too! My DD is 5 and this is her first time. I better go check her bathing suits ... I might be in the same boat as you! Have fun!

Thanks everyone! I was actually one step ahead of you all and I did order from LLBean and Lands End. Guess what - they didn't fit!!!!!!!!!! I even ordered several sizes! Thanks for the idea of the dance shops. I also tried a local sporting goods place and I will hopefully find something tomorrow. Otherwise, we will be shopping in Orlando. By the way, DD is 8 and has had a HUGE growth spurt (she is actually bigger than her 10 year old brother). The entire clothing issue is a nightmare for her right now. Does anyone know if Costco in Orlando carries bathing suits year round? She loves the Speedo swimsuits and that is where I got hers in NJ this past summer.

Don't know about Cosco in Fl, but we always buy the speedo all year. If she likes the speedo (my dd loves them to) try the sporting goods shops. Our local Decathalon carries speedo all year long, along with goggles and swimcaps etc. Perhaps grab the yellow pages, or super pages and call around to your local sporting good shops. This way you can not only make sure they have some speedos but check to be sure they have some of the sizes you think you will need. Have fun!

Lisa, If you are looking for Speedos I would check the sporting goods stores. I'm sure they sell them year round for swim teams, and such.

I was at Walmart yesterday and I got my girls bathimg suits for a $1!!!!!I don't care if we don't go swimmimg it was only a 1. Godd Luck! Check clearence at Target too.
