So we have decided to change our first 2 days around. Originally we were going to do MK & eat at Chef Mickeys at 6:00 & day 2 we're going to do MGM & eat at 50's PT at 6:00 also. Now, in order to see the Osbourne lights, we need to change those 2 days around. What time do you think I should try to make my ADR for each now? MK has spectromagic @ 7:00 & wishes @ 8:00. Not sure on time for the lights w/music to come on (dusk???) but park is only open until 7:00.

Suggestions??? We will be a family of 4 w/DS7 & DD3.

Thanks!

First, since it sounds like you are talking about reservations not very far in the future, you may not be able to switch and have a chioce of times. So you make need to stick to your original plan. But assuming you get some pixie dust, if you want to eat at Chef Mickey before Spectromagic, I would probably try for 5pm. Your kids are pretty young for it, but if you want to eat after Wishes, I would try for 8:45 to 9 pm.

At MGM, they let you finish walking through the lights after close time, so you just need to get over there by 7pm. I would probably try for 5 to 5:30 pm.

If you are talking about this Holiday season, it is probably too late to make changes. What dates are you talking about?

We're going Jan 6-11th. I was looking for Chef Mickey on either Jan 7 or Jan 11th.

Hi momof2j.

We had the same problem, we arrive at Disney on the 1/6 and I wanted to see the Osborne lights as well.

We are checking out of Universal that day, originally we had planned to spend most of the day at Universal then head to MK for EMH, but when I found out the Osborne lights were finishing that night :sad1: (they are only showing between 6-7pm that night in comparison to 6-8pm every other night), we have changed our plans, we will check in to the CR at 2pm and head to MGM, we now have an ADR at prime time at 4:50pm, then we will see the lights and then head over to MK for EMH.

Ther next day we are doing the opposite and going to MK (we have a lunch ADR at CP) and then head to MGM for EMH.

It would have been much easier to stay at MK on the 1/6 and MGM on1/7, but the Osborne lights was a must do for me.

We may see you there:thumbsup2

Your plan sounds like what we were originally going to do as well! I called and changed our 50'sPT to 5:10 on 1/6 so we could see the lights. I tried to move my 1/6 Chef Mickey to 1/7, but the only dinner open was for 7:50pm. With 2 small kids, that really wasn't going to work but I took it anyway so I had some time to think about it. Decided too late, and changed to Crystal Palace @ 6:15pm. I will probably keep trying to get back into CM, but if I don't it'll be fine. Just this morning my DS7 said that he'd like to eat at CP!! THis whole time it was always at CM??? Maybe we really weren't meant to eat at CM!!:confused3

We might see you at 50's PT:thumbsup2. 4:50 is a very early dinner for us (my kids are 12 and 14) but it was our only option if we wanted to get back to MK for EMH. I had originally booked CP on the 1/7 for dinner but changed that to lunch when we decided to go to MGM that night for EMH.:confused3

We are doing CM on the 1/10.

Starting to get really excited now, this trip has been planned since January.
Now I have to get packing:eek:
I need to get through Xmas first:rolleyes:

Merry Christmas and wishing you and your family a wonderful new year.

We will be a family of 4 & hopefully my 3 y/o daughter won't be having a meltdown from traveling that day :rotfl: Still debating on if I should try to get CM instead of CP for 1/7. I think they would like CM better, but my DS just marked CP in his Disney book of where he wants to eat. We gave him a book and told him he can start looking at stuff now but we won't be going until 2009! I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out Christmas morning that we're going in 12 days from then

Have a good holiday & trip!!!
