Help!!Need party ideas for 9 yr.old boy

My son's birthday is in a couple of weeks and we're coming up empty for party ideas. He's not interested in bowling or a fun-world type place. Anybody have any ideas that are more creative than what I'm coming up with? Any help would be appreciated.

We just had my dd's 9th birthday party yesterday at our local Marriot Hotel's pool. She had boys and girls and they ALL loved it! It was a very nice organized party. They had two licenesed swimming instructors in the water with them doing swimming races, games, activites, etc. I even threw in underwater cameras and the instructors got awesome pics of everything. Then they did pizza and cake with music. As they were leaving they all said what a good time they had. Try that!

If you want to do it out somewhere you could go ice skating, roller skating, putt-putt golfing, to a science museum, etc.

If you want to do it yourself you could have a scavenger hunt or just some fun organized games around a theme.

Or you could, weather permitting, (I don't know what it's like up there this time of year ) take them to a park, eat cake, open presents and let them play.

The costume party was a big hit last year for my DS, his b'day is in Oct also. We had a contest for best costume. The kids had a ball!

Thanks for the ideas. He wants a home party so I'm thinking costume party with a scavenger hunt! Sounds like fun to me!

My niece had a Survivor party last year. They had obstacle courses, contests, and tiki torches.
