Just a fun little post to complain....

I NEED MORE POINTS !!!:smooth:

How come BEFORE buying DVC we were satisfied with a measly one trip per year ?? Now we have December upcoming...a two nighter in February and would like to treat my DS and her nephew with us on our June trip. 150 pts doesn't go that far I'm afraid.

Oh well.....
Wont be possible for us to do an add-on this year:(

The more you go.......the MORE you want to go !

Welcome to the club! :p

For us, we still make the one trip per year. But what got us was the desire to move into a 2BR with our family of four. That, of course, required a lot more points!

But at least we now have two "homes", and enjoy both immensely!

Funny the way the add-on bug hits, isn't it!?!? When we got to the point where we looked at what our maintenance fees are going to be, that cured us of any more add-on-itis!!

That's what keeps us in control as well, LOL! That and the fact that most employed persons only get so much vacation!

Should that fail, there's always the cost of airfare - flying to MCO out of MSP is seldom a bargain! :teeth:

Best wishes -

Carol, I totally understand about limited vacation time -- there's never enough of that, is there?!?! All I can say about flying out of St. Louis is "thank God for Southwest Airlines"! They are so much cheaper than America, Delta, etc. unless you happen to hit a good deal.

RuthnPaul, that's exactly what finally conquered the add-on bug for me too. (But only after several add-ons were successfully completed. :teeth: )

Add-on-itis. Watch 2 Disney movies and call member services in the morning;)

when we bought, we purchased 170 points, because we based it on how many points we would need on how often we went to Disney (at the time it was about every 18 months).

Funny, about 6 months later, we hadn't even taken our 1st trip home, we bought a 300 point OKW resale!

It pulls you in I say! Grab on and hold tight!

This is why when people try to say buying into DVC is some kind of savings, I always remind them that they will probably be going to WDW more often which of course is an expense. I was going 3 times a year for awhile myself, finally hit the point where I got tired of the trips down there. Now I only go once a year for 3 weeks. It is a problem wanting to go more often when you buy into DVC.

Need more points, need more points, need more points...

(This is what is rolling thru my head as I try to go to sleep at night! )

I was "bitten by the bug" also. We had 200 points bought in 2002. I thought it was perfect at the time. It's now 2004 (only 2 years later) and we just got back from SSR where i just purchased 130 more points! It's an epidemic!
