Help!! Need Jersey Week flights!

We just booked a flight, with Spirit out of ACY on that Thurs am (0700) with quick flight change in FLL, arriving in MCO at 11:30am. We got it for $20.00 each !!!!!! with our $9.00 club membership.
The return flght is Monday at 21:20 from MCO to ACY arriving at 23:34 that was $ 104.00 each. We booked it a week ago. THats the cheapest we have ever had.:thumbsup2

I know you're right about the prices being jacked up; I was just hoping that it wouldn't go up so high!! We saw the flights you mentioned last night & are considering them (REALLY need to decide what we're doing!!)....I just really hate to leave the resort at 5 a.m.!!! It's funny, I don't mind leaving home at 4am....but I want to stay in Disney until the last possible moment (even with work the next day)!
Thanks so much again.

They didn't just jack up the prices. Demand drives them up. Sorry to say but these dates were released months ago and you're shopping for the little bit still available.
We booked Southwest down and Airtran returning and got $59 each way. (Bought AT in Feb and SWA in Apr.)

This doesn't really help now but if you plan to travel during this week again in the future, be sure to book early.

Good luck and hope you can find something that works for you. :goodvibes
Maybe try flying into TPA? It's only 1 hr drive to WDW and driving in FL is a lot more fun than driving in NJ. ;)

Thanks; we'll be looking into this. Not sure if we can make the 7:55 flight; that would mean we'd have to be there around 6:00. It would be cutting it close, especially with dinner-hour traffic all the way through DC. I will definitely look into it, though, and really appreciate the suggestion. Can you get the coupons right on the AirTran site?

BWI comes before DC. Mapquest estimates the drive at 2 hrs. 8 mins from Cherry Hill with 116 miles.
We've flown out of BWI and it's not a bad drive at all. Sure beats driving all the way to FL.

Whoops! Didn't know that! Sorry.

Absolute truth. Cherry Hill is almost 90 mins. from us, though; so we'd have to make sure the 3-plus hour drive would be the best way to go. You are definitely right about booking early. This time we had no choice, but next time you better believe we'll be looking early!!!! Thanks again.

Wow, I guess I'd skip BWI then. You'd spend minimum of 7 hrs driving RT plus allowing 2 hrs preflight at the airport is a lot of wasted time.

Are you near the Parkway? Did you try Airtran out of ACY? They don't have a lot of nonstops, I think only 1 on Sat, 1 on Sun but you may end up paying through the nose for a nonstop at this point.
I'd rather connect than not afford to go at all. jmho.

If you use Airtran be sure to send for lots of coupons, using as many email addresses as you can. Also if you book separate one ways rather than RT, each passenger can use 2 coupons instead of just 1.
Also if you search thru www.kayak.com (which takes you right back to airtran.com to make the actual ressie) you won't be charged the $6 seating fee. Kayak is just a search engine, not a travel agency like Expdia, Orbitz, etc.

If you can stand to drive to Philly, SWA allows 2 bags pp free and there's never a change fee so if you find a better flight for a reasonable price you can switch to it. Not very likely for these dates but one can hope.

Wow!!! Still more options. I've always been the EWR-to-MCO girl....so this really helps. I'll be researching all day! Thanks!

Did you try Airtran out of Philly with the $25 off coupon? The website for the
coupon was listed here on the Transportation thread a few days ago...
something like airtran.com/sunshine

Many thanks to all of you for answering my questions!! Today we were able to book (going) Delta and (returning) American for under $300...we are very happy with that. Got a Wed. eve. flight out & a late a.m. flight back (JFK). Not the best scenario, but absolutely much better than we had been getting earlier!
Thanks again for all of your suggestions....you are the BEST!!!
