Help! Need Indiana Jones invitations ASAP!

Hoping someone could help me come up w/inviations quickly for my son's Indiana Jones bday in 2 weeks. I don't know how to do the font and would love to print them out myself on parchment. If anyone can help or steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Believe it or not, I did this last year. I printed in a hieroglyphic type font and the font called papryus that I found at dafont.com. I made it a secret code type thing and gave them the key at the bottoms. I printed it on ivory card stock which I then antiqued with brown and black chalk inks. I then made cards clues to "adventures" in my backyard. The kids had solve puzzles and play games to find the treasure (their goodie boxes...) There wasn't much Indy stuff out last year, so I had to make everything. They kids were 7 years old.

This is great. How did you make the little boxes around the code symbols? I am thinking I should do this for DS birthday this year plus he could use it for part of his Cub Scout requirements.electives

It is just a table in Word. I just made the border the same color as the font that I wrote in the cells. Does that make sense?

Yes it does. Now, I need to learn how to make a table.

I completely understand coming up with the ideas w/o the stuff being out there. My son's bday was in January but I talked him into waiting for the merchandise to be out. He figured, he's waited for 2 years for the movie to come out and he really wanted to have an outdoor party (always gets the shaft w/being in Ohio in January!) so a few more months was ok!

I found one idea at birthdaypartyideas website that had a great scavenger hunt that we're getting ideas from. Of course, I'm sure over the summer, it will be super easy to find ideas and merchandise! At least now, when my ds wears his full Indy outfit--leather jacket (old gap one on ebay), khaki shirt (woolrich), khaki pants, brown shoes, felt fedora (from DL 2 years ago when he was 1/2 inch too short to ride the ride) everyone knows who he is!!

He's also getting a huge surprise that we're stopping back to Disneyland after visiting my dad in Reno. Don't know if you have seen the Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Stone Tiger pix, but DS will be in pure heaven riding the ride and doing the "extras!" DD3 will be heartbroken that Small World will be down, but I guess that's why you've got to go back.

Cool. I couldn't find the font named by Mickster. But I did find Egyptian, Mayan, Aztec, Celtic Rune & Germanic Rune fonts. They are all neat looking in their own way. I guess we should use which ever one fits your theme best.

Just remember, we are all in the World at the end of August.

I have been making shirts for my family already. Bummer is I washed some and ran into problems........Hope DISigns board can help me out.
