Hi there,

We're staying at CBR with the DDP from March 16th 2013 - 3rd April 2013. I have worked out my 180 window opens on Monday 17th September and I understand that on this date I can book the first 10 days' ADRs... Can this be done on the website or is this only an option on the telephone? (Main reason I wanted to do it online is because it rolls over an hour earlier than the telephone system.)

Also, do we have to do them in date order or can we do the ones that will be hardest to get first?

If that takes care of the first 10 days worth, when can I book the 11th day's ADR? Would it be the next day or 10 days later?

I have waited months for this date to come around and I've just been given a date to go in to hospital for an operation and when is it, yep, you've guessed it - the same day! My husband will be with me in hospital so my friend is going to have to make all the reservations (she's coming on the trip, so its ok).

Thanks in advance,
Rachel

You can do it online, simply select a date > 180 days out and it'll ask you to enter the information. Once that's done, the days will be open to you. This can be done in any order you choose, date, priority, etc.

As far as the 11th day, I'm pretty sure that this will have to be done on the 180th day from the date of dining.

You should be able to book the 11th day on the next day. Sometimes phone CMs will let you book the 11th day at the same time as your first 10 days, but since your trip will be almost 3 weeks long I don't know how many additional days they will do. However, since you're in the UK you may not want the long distance phone charge anyway. Even though you'll be there during Easter week, if you keep booking online one day at a time after the first 10 you should be in a good position to get your preferred times.

Good news for us, its free on our call plan.

Rach is now in the op theatre , I get the job of the reservations :coffee:. No pressure eh!
Just wishing the booking window will open - 25 mins to go. Doesn't stop me trying though :rotfl2:
Although, currently the online system isn't recognising our booking ref, and the call centre is closed. Grrr

Fingers crossed for lots of this  on the reservations, and not too much of :surfweb: followed by :badpc:

Don't stress out.. Reservations don't fill up that early. I know some people say that you need to be making them at the stroke of midnight at 180 days out, but that's simply not true. The new credit card hold system for the more popular places has really helped too. Even 60 days out, you're pretty much guaranteed to get everything you want..

If only.......

Got 5 of 9 when we wanted. :yay:
No chef mickey's, 1900 park Fair, Ohana's or Garden Grill on preferred dates. Bit of jiggling about of the plan to do now.

Turned out there is an issue in the UK that the WDWTC booking ref is not the one to use on the DDP. Had to speak to CM at DDP to book what we could, then phone the tour operater (still disney) to get the booking ref for dining so that the rest could be done online. Bit of a pain, but at least we got some done now and the rest of the bookings can be done online in the next few weeks.

Off to fetch Rach from the hospital. :thumbsup2

If you're that far out, all restaurants may not be in the system yet..

I am absolutely gobsmacked that we can't get a single meal at Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare or the Cape May Cafe Goofy's thing, for our entire stay. We're 180 - 190 days out, and have tried every single day at 10:59 and 11:00 but there is absolutely nothing available. I'm beyond gutted; so much of our trip was based on these restaurants (the charcters are going to be the most important thing to our son and this was our way of ensuring we saw them). I now see what everyone says about the downside of being able to book the first 10 days of your holiday - maybe it would be fairer to only be able to book on the 180 day window...

Sigh.

Keep trying, between issues with loading restaurants (which does happen) and people shifting around their plans, openings do open up quite often. Also, keep an eye on the cancellation thread for your month, someone may post their cancellation there and you may be able to coordinate with them.

No reason to be disappointed this early, there's about 6 months of time to keep working at getting them :) (and most people who do try over a long timeframe eventually end up with at least most of what they want, if not everything.)

Phone call to DDP today, seperate issue, however asked about bookings and it appears that the 'big ones' are not out yet for our dates.

Can get up to the Friday before we go as available, so all hope not lost. Time to keep us the screen refreshed and see what turns up.

Thanks all for the replies. :)
