my neice all of a sudden 12 days before my trip to disney with my daughter, wanted to come with us because I kept bragging about my plans and now my family and I was able to come up with the money I had to change all my Ps so I was able to and nothing change same time and every thing except my reservation for cinderalla castle I call everyday day but nothing and she's 9 yrs old but they can't squeeze her in because the table fits only 2 so I don't know what to do cause I am not canceling that reservation, it's the day of my birthday and I thought it would be perfect if my daughter and I got to eat at the castle so I'm just curious. If I was to bring my niece that day anyway what would happen??? Cause everyone keeps telling me to bring her anyway and their sure they would let her in but they never been to cinderella castle before some of them never been to disney period and I know their strict cause when I made my Ps they told my I would have to bring my ID and all so I really don't think it would work out and I don't want to have to miss out on this. This is my first time going to disney and I want to go all the way! :wizard: You just don't know how excited I am 9 more days left :hourglass and I'm already packed and ready to go. Does anyone know what would happen if I was to brring her along with me that day, I'm going to keep calling til the day before my breakfast there but I need to know if it doensn't come through what can I do. I have an associate who's coming along with us and her 2 kids but I don't want to asks her to take my neice for that morning even though we're doing all the theme parks together, it just feels uncomftable so what to do but bring her along right? :confused3

Having been to CRT for breakfast in July, I say bring her along. They can check for ID but they didn't when we were there. I believe they will let you in with her. yes they have tables for 2 but you could really get three at those tables with a push. I would keep calling though just in case something opens up for the three of you. I hate to say lie but I would. I would act very surprized that the ressie was for 2 when there are 3 of you. THey will proably sit you without a problem.

:earboy2: Thanks for your suggestion. I was laughing after I read you comment. I told my family cause it's funny that you said that you would act shock cause my sister said the same thing too. I guess I'll do it, scared but I'll do it thank you so much... lol

I too would take her with! Want to know the most shocking news of the day - we were late to our PS to Cinderella's Castle and right before we checked in - I heard the hostess ask whoever the guy is with the radio (I assume he's the one that radios upstairs to see if there is extra seating or what)....asked if they had room for a WALK-IN for a party of 4 for NOW (this was before park opening) - he nodded his head - I almost fell over!!!
So, basically some very lucky family of 4 got to eat breakfast in the castle as a walk-in the day we were there.

If THAT can happen (and us being about 20 minutes late to our PS & they still sat us!), then I can't imagine it's a problem with bringing your niece. I would still keep calling though and see.

Just ask yourself what happens when they don't seat her? Can your associate be there to watch her? Will you all skip breakfast at the castle?

We have the same problem! We have a ressie for 4 but just added a fifth person. We keep calling but can't get an opening for 5. The only differance is my extra person is my dd 1 and I would have her sit on my lap but they said they may not allow that due to fire regulations. I am so unsure what to do too!

That's the only thing I'm thinking about. IT's going to be the day of my birthday so hopefully knowing that I have my birthday pin on they won't say a thing cause and I have reservation first thing in the morning at 8:10 am so hopefully they'll let it slide. MY brother said it's one of the happiest place on earth and they don't want to ruin anyones vaction so I should be good to go. He said everyone is always happy but then again I heard stories online about disney workers being rude but I do believe that they want everyone to be happy so I'm going to keep calling and I will bring her but if theirs an issue I really do not want to cancel my ps so I don't know what will happen but I will not miss it.

Since you'll have to be let in before the park opens, what will you do, if security says they only have you for two, and won't let you in? And if you do get as far as the castle, and everyone shows up that is supposed to, and they have a full house, what if they won't let your niece in? Will you have to go back and wait at the gate for your friend to take her?

I say take her. We had our Thanksgiving trip all planned when my sister decided to join us at the last minute. I changed all our PS except the one at the WCC on Thanksgiving Day. I pleaded with the CM that it can't be that big of a deal to squeeze one more at the table. She said she would call the manager at WCC and call me back! Sure enough, a few hours later I got the o.k. When we arrived at WCC, we waited a long time. I finally went to the podium to ask about the wait and was told my reservation said 5 people, not 6! Anyway, the manager couldn't have been nicer, apologized a million times and got us seated as quickly as possible.
So, I say bring her, you may have to wait a little longer than planned for a table but I can't imagine them saying an outright no!

It may be the happiest place on earth, but that doesn't mean they can suddenly let people who don't have reserverations eat at Cindy's because its their birthday. Have reasonable expectations. Fire code is a very real possibility here. If this works, what happens is that it gets out on the internet and everyone says "table for three - oh, you don't have one, but you have one for two" and shows up with three. They can't have that happen. Disney CMs would not be being rude if they told you "sorry, your reservation is for two, we can't seat three."

I think you have to think about the 9 year old's feelings here. I know it is your birthday but you are the adult. Do you tell her that if they will let her she can have breakfast with you at Cinderella's if not she has to stay with your friends while you and your daughter have breakfast? Does she even know these people??

I am not sure that I would not try and see if they would let you bring three, but I would be prepared for NONE of you to eat there if all three can not. You chose to take your niece so adjustments may have to be made. You could try for one of the other princess meals for that day in case it is a no go at Cindy's.

It is very sweet of you to take your niece and I hope it works out. Keep calling too. You never know!

Perhaps you could try to get a PS for lunch at CRT that day, you never know-it may be available-it's worth checking out.

Last January we had a last minute addition to our group, and there was no problem seating the extra person. :)

I think they'll squeeze her in too. Last year we had PS at 1900 Park Fare and ended up have 3 extras join us. We tried calling several days before to see if anything was available and they said no. I tried the day before, day of, etc. nothing available, but they told us to all come back that night at our PS time and they'd see what they could do. We did and they fit us all in, not even more than a 10 minute wait.

Good luck.

well, now I have a little hope. I call every single day. Hopefully everything turns out okay. Thanks ! 6 more days :cheer2:

I know there is a lot of cautious comments, but last Dec. when we went, we had a seating for 8 plus an infant, we got to the podium and they asked what PS and how many, I said 9, well they asked if DS would be in his stroller, he would so they called up for a table for 8. Well, we got there to the table for 8 and the server was livid because the stroller counts for a seating for 9- we worked it out, but that only shows that they make up the tables for the upcoming seats as they come (like all restuarants in the real world). Capacity is a fluid concept and PS's help them plan. I would never try to bring any more people on purpose but one is not a problem in an emergency situation. A few years back someone who was coming with us cancelled, we tried to rebook from a table for 5 to 4, the CM said there was no guarantee I would get a table for 4 and I would lose what I had so I should keep it.

thanks, I will keep calling but I'm also going to take her along with me that day, hopefully everything goes well. I'm spending so much money on my neice,it's to the point where I wish I had listen to some of the other people advise and just should have told her, next time. But hopefully she will have enough money for souvenier cause I did my part I put in for the airplane tickets and now I just put in for the dining package. But like others had said
It's all worth it in the end. Well thanks for your help! :earsgirl:

Last November we couldn't get a party of 6 for CRT only a party of 4. I kept calling but was never able to get the table for 6. So mil, dds and I go to breakfast and dh and fil head to MGM. We get to the breakfast and guess where they seat us? .... Yup, at a table for six. The hostess heard us laughing about it and said the rest of our party was welcomed to join us (of course they were at mgm so couldn't.) Good luck!
