Help! Need Advice

OK, here is my problem. My family is going on a cruise in October that leaves out of Port Canaveral (no it is not Disney, it is RCCL). The cruise leaves on a Sunday. We would like to go to US/IOA the Saturday before the cruise.

Our plan is to fly on Friday and spend the day at the parks on Sat. We want to do both parks in one day (we have already been there and just want to do our favorites).

Questions:

How busy is a Saturday in October? - I am trying to decide if we want to spend the night at RP for FOTL or a cheap hotel off-site.

What form of transportation should we use to get from the hotel to the port on Sunday?

Does Universal have transportation from the airport?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think this year that all Saturdays were Halloween Horror Nights. That means that the parks will close early and it will be busy at night. During the day however it shouldn't be too bad. FOTL is always fun even if it isn't needed.
