Help!My Points problems again!

I've emailed MyPoints twice this week in regards to problems that I've had, and they emailed back but didn't answer my questions properly. I am leary about emailing them again as I find lately that many companies have people employed to answer email concerns who apparently don't have high levels of comprehension - this has happened twice to me this week where the responses didn't address my original concerns. I am an English teacher and so my messages are very concise and always contain all pertinent info. Anybody have any suggestions? As a Canadian I need all the points that I can get since they don't send me point emails anymore. Here they are:

1. I downloaded MyPoints alert, but was not able to automatically receive my bonus 25 points for doing so as it froze several times. I emailed to make sure they would credit my points, but the email didn't even adress this. Anyone else have trouble collecting the 25 bonus points for download? I checked my account & no points have been credited.

2. I made a purchase through drugstore.com after clicking through MyPoints. I am to receive 600 points for first transaction, and 300 for each subsequent transaction. I emailed to see about crediting my points because after doing a merchant search through their website yesterday, I noticed they no longer have drugstore.com listed. My response email today said that drugstore.com is not currently a partner of MyPoints, as they only do so through the BonusMail program (what???). I am extremely frustrated as there is no way that I am going to lose out on 600 points! What should I do?

Thanks, Tiger

Hi Tiger,
I have also had the problem in the past with emailing MyPoints and getting some kind of pat answer that has absolutely no thought put into it. I would suggest emailing them back with your original question and their answer attached and stating that your question was not answered and you want a specific reply to your specific question. This worked for me. I love MyPoints when everything is working correctly but when you need help from them it can be like butting your head against a brick wall!
Hope this helps!

Tiger926,

it's very common for companies to have "level 1 customer service" where they look for key words in your topic and send out a sort of form letter. this allows them to filter out real complaints/concerns from those that could be answered by reading the FAQs or form letter emails. so definitely email them again (hit reply on their reply so the tracking number remains) and ask for more help. this happens with lots of companies, so Mypoints isn't alone here. I have had trouble with their initial emails, but they are usually pretty good if you reply again and ask your question again, and ask for more help, or to get to their 2nd level of customer service/support.

Sorry i can't help you with the drugstore.com stuff, but don't forget to try this method I used to get points emails, since I am also Canadian! I now get about 3 points emails a day:

Since I just spent all morning emailing MyPoints, I can understand your frustration. I sent them 7.......yes, 7!......emails, one for each transaction that I wasn't credited. I'm missing over 2000 points, so I guess it was worth it........IF they credit me.

It's not the first time I've had to contact them to get credited, so I've learned some things:

I keep a notebook, where I list dates, pts earned, on anything over the usual 5-10 pts. for emails.....Every few weeks, I check
my statement to make sure that everything's been listed......(the reason why I neededto question 7 transactions was that I've been busy, & haven't checked my pts. in a while)

I have AOL, & I put any email confirmations in my filing cabinet.
Then I have them to copy & paste if I need to prove an order, "try it out" registrations, etc.

The last time I tried to get my points, it took 3 emails, so now I know enough to put all the proof in the original email......I'll update when I hear from them, to see if all my work paid off...........(Not to mention that they should have been credited in the first place!)
