This is so my luck ...........
I just bought a Canon Powershot SD700IS. I love it.... I was in the grocery store getting groceries and I had the camera in a side pocket inside my purse. My purse was sitting on the "shelf" where you write checks (okay, hindsight, that was stupid), but the cashier reached over my purse to reset the debit machine and my purse tipped over and the camera hit the floor. At first glance, it looked okay and there was a long line behind me, so I quickly exited. I took it out to play with it at lunch today and I notice that the seam in the front of the camera is pulled apart a little and there is a little tiny pc of metal sticking out, almost holding it apart? The camera seems to work fine, it has a few scratches on it, which I can live with, but I worry about water or moisture getting inside the camera. I leave in 14 days for Disney, the whole reason I bought this camera. I got on line and went to the Canon service centers and there is nothing in my area, the closest is 585 miles from me!!! I don't have time to send this to Canon for a repair...........
I found a place in Webster (not too far from my home) that I called and they will look at it for me. Does this sound like an easy fix? I guess I am just looking for some reassurance here
I can't beleive my new camera is damaged already.
I will let you all know how I make out.
