This woman has not responded to any of my emails....she has bids on quite a few other things and has had current feedback left for her. She had 3 negatives the past month with sellers saying no contact etc...she has also had current feedback that says she is an awesome payer....

should I even bother to call her? I have sent several emails and the item is like around $11....

When did the auction end? What are your terms of service (ie: time limit to pay)? Have you checked to see where she lives - on the outside chance she is in one of the many areas of the country that have been flooded recently? New Hampshire, MA, Connecticut, NJ and southern New York have had severe problems..

$11 is $11 - but we'd need more info to advise you what to do.. :flower:

In that case, if you have free long distance on your cell, I would pull her number and give her a call.. :flower:

Start the NPB process. She has had plenty of timet to contact you. If she was going to, she would have by now.

I personally don't bother w/ phone calls. I just file the NPB in 7 days if I've heard nothing. I usually have at least one a month.

I don't bother with phone calls either. I would send her one last email through ebay and send the exact same one through regular email (if you have her email address) stating that you sent it both ways because you hadn't heard from her and wanted to make sure this one went through. In the email state that you have not heard from her and if you do not hear from her and/or receive payment by x date you will file a NPB and leave neg feedback as she is a NPB.

Then no more contact, just start the process and leave her neg feedback once it is completed.

I never bother with phone calls either. I just start the NPB process. Usually those emails from Ebay stating that the process is beginning are just enough to get someone in gear.

I have a related NPB question...

I filed for NPB Sunday night after hearing nothing from the winner of one of my auctions for a week.

I have someone else that wants to buy the item. Do I have to give this NPB 7 days to respond? Or can I just sell the item to someone else now.

I would like to re-sell it now since it's a Halloween item and we are coming down to the wire.

TIA!

can someone tell me more about the NPB process...do I just click on the link in the ended auction that says report no payment?

Yup - that's what I do, and did!

At this point you are under no obligation to sell to the original bidder. I believe that that message from ebay states that the seller is under no obligation to hold the item for you.

Is this person a second highest bidder (meaning it would be a second chance auciton, or did this person contact you direct after the auction?

If it is the first, meaning it would be a second chance auction, then I would wait until the NPB is complete because otherwise, my understanding is that you will not get your relist credit.

If it is the second and you plan to do it "outside of ebay" then go ahead and sell the item to them, without waiting for the NPB to complete.

Thanks disneychrista!

Turns out, just after I posted this qustion, the NPB paid me via paypal. No apology, no excuse, nothing. Would have been funny had I sold it to the other person!

The only value to requesting her contact info is that she may not actually have the correct info. And if she doesn't, eBay will kick her out and that means she won't be able to give you a negative.

Also, I hate to state the obvious, but if you accept Paypal, have you checked to see if you've received a payment from her? They're supposed to notify you when you receive a payment, but it doesn't always happen.

Me too! It's always worked for me.

I sent the unpaid reminder from Ebay tonight...

the frustrating thing is that this person is CURRENTLY bidding on things yet she chooses not tp respond to my emails!

Do you have a bulk e-mail folder? A lot of my eBay mail (especially questions to seller, or answers to questions to seller) ends up in there for some reason.
