We usually stay on site and leave our dog at home with a sitter. She no longer does dog sitting. We want to find a vacation home close to Disney and bring our dog. She is 22 pounds, and very well behaved. Can someone suggest a home close to Disney that will accept dogs. Thanks

Do you really want to bring your dog with on vacation?? One of the things I love about vacation is a break from feeding the dog, dealing with taking the dog out, etc. Plus, if we brought our dogs, it would limit our time in the park since we would have to come back to let them out. Plus, I would worry about them doing something to damage the rental home, even though they haven't done much damage to our home. I would honestly look for another dog sitter. Or a high-end kennel--many have come a long way from concrete floors and chain link fences.

Our dog has travelled to 36 states. We don't mind going back and forth to have time with her. We take a mid day rest and find plenty of time for the parks or whatever.

Also, you can kennel your dog any time you want to in Florida if you want a long day anywhere. Just make advance reservations to be on the safe side.

Our dog is much less stressed out being with us part of the time, then no time at all.

I have found Bring Fido to be very reliable in their information. We actually found the place we are renting through Flip Key or VRBO (can't remember) by searching for pet friendly homes in various communities around WDW. There are quite a few. Don't try Regal Palms though.....no pets allowed there. We also found that anything in Windsor Hills that allowed dogs was well out of our price range but we are staying for two months so we have to be careful with the per night price.

boy you would have though me crazy but for 20 years Spicey - went with me to WDW. He stayed in the kennels - but every day went over to walk him and feed him - of course that was when WDW has kennels at FW, TTC, Epcot, Studios and AK - really miss them. My current cat is much luckier - since I am only an hour (sometimes more) away - he stays home.

was also traveling with mother and boy would I love forward to visiting him.... (Mother paid for nothing - part of my problems)
