Help! My DF going next week w/DDP & no ADRs

just spoke to my dear college friend last night. We are meeting up when we arrive at WDW next week. they are staying at CBR and have DDP. But she has made no ADRs. they DO want TS at several meals.

Is it too late for her to try to make them?

Personally, I have found it nearly impossible to get any reasonable times for our family of 4 the last week of March, but we are offsite, no DDP for us.

But I wonder -- do folks on the DPP get special preference? Should she call wdw dine or just wait til she checks in and get help at CBR guest services?

Folks on the DDP get no preferences. There should still be some places to eat if they call now or try to made ADRs at their resort, but it most likely will not be the better places. Character meals will be extremely hard to get. I guess it depends on their party size too. I'm always encouraging folks to make ADRs. I had this conversation this week with a co-worker who is going down in August....yikes, no ADRs. I told her to start deciding what she wants to do...she is a party of 5 and one of the kids has extreme food allergies. She's been studying the menus.

Correct that no preference or less treatment for those on the DDP as opposed to any other WDW diner.
We really like Shutter's (at CBR). (LOVE the Shutter potatoes. )
And quite often we have walked into Shutter's with no ADRs.
Shutters may work out well for convenience anyway.

I often make my ADRs VERY last minute. Sometimes within just a few hours -- for places that are a little less popular, but still good.
You probably won't be dining at Le Cellier for the prime time. But book what ADRs you can once you know what you want to do, even if it is the same day.

The closer to Easter, the worse it will be. But you should be fine.

Also, dining at front desk will not matter one way or another as opposed to calling. Just tell her to call as soon as she can.
