Help! My cat is getting put to sleep

My cat will probably have to get out to sleep tonight. My mom is really sad because she's had him since she was in collage and my brothers are sad and it's kind of hard. Any advice on how to cope with this?

Cherish all the time you have with him! Do all the things you would on a regular day, but this time it will be more special. I know how you feel I had to put down my dog,about a year ago. It was very hard to do. Maybe you will get another cat?

Aw, well look on the bright side. Your cat will be out of whatever suffering was in it's way or was to come. And think about what a happy and long live it's lived!
Looking back on fond memories always helps.
I'm so sorry for your soon-to-be loss.

I lost my dog this November. I've known that dog all my life, and it was hard at first. But it makes me happy that we took him in (he's been abused) and made his years happier.

Oh that is so sad . Spend lots of time with him, take pictures of him, and give him lots of cuddles if you can. Poor baby . I've never lost a cat (and I'm not looking forward to it!), and I'd be devastated to lose any of my babies.

I'm so sorry.
I had to put down my two dogs, it's terrible and devastating.
Just remember, eventually the pain will go away.

And DON'T take pictures with your cat today.
If you already did, erase them.
When you look at those pictures years from now, all it will do is make you sad, instead of making you remember the good memories.
Seriously, I speak from experience. Don't do it.

im sorry i have cats as well i would be heartbroken think of all the good memories dont think about the bad stuff.You can get through this.
