anyone know how i can go about moving my flight from friday morning to thursday night due to impending snow? i'm flying airtran if that makes any difference...
thanks so much... never had to do this before!

guess i should have looked at my flight info before i posted, lol
... there is a $75 fee per person to change our tickets and then a fare increase of $140 each because the going airfare right now for the flight is $205 so we would have to pay the difference... maybe we'll go get a room by the airport and just take our chances... :)

Well, usually some airlines will post on their site that you can change due to upcoming weather. I think it is 100% the carriers call. If there is nothing on the site about changing, you could a) pay the change fee (if there is one) AND pay the difference in price if there is one, or b) call the airline and see if they will allow you to switch. You may get lucky and they do it. Good luck on getting out early.. And just because you beat the snow at your airport. If anything else is screwed up and they cant get equipment from places that already have snow, you still could be delayed / cancelled..

You should call Airtran - they are pretty good about getting people on a day early without penalties IF the weather is going to be an impending problem.

my friend from downstate IL said Airtran's site said they'd waive the fee to leave ahead of the storm...

and so she is!!

good luck!
