Help - Movie Popcorn attack!!

Ok, How do you people go to the movie and stay away from the popcorn?!
We went to see "Cars" last night (which is very cute by the way) and I can't even walk into a theatre without "needing" that popcorn with butter of course. (It's a mute point otherwise.) So we ordered one and I tried to limit myself to just a small portion but it's really hard. I didn't have pop though, I made them give me a little dixie cup so I could get water from the fountain. They want to charge $3.00 for a bottle of water. ANYWAY, I am prettty sure I didn't have too much of the popcorn because I gave my DH direct orders not to let me near the stuff after I gave myself my 3 cup portion. I know that on WW this stuff is worth a LOT of points but I just had to have it.
What do the rest of you do when you go to a movie?

I take a bottle of water & a small baggie of popped at home popcorn in my purse. Here, the theaters all say 'no outside food', but I've seen many people bring 2 liters in . I try to be discreet and usually bring Dasani water as that's what our theaters sell.

I too will sneak it in. Our theaters do not allow outside food. You know, the captive audience rule. My DD still gets a kid combo, so it isn't enough to share, and DS usually wants something I don't like. It can work! But if they are popping corn, I can not resist! Impossible! I also don't add butter, I really don't like it, so it helps.

I sneak it in, too. I have a huge shoulder bag I keep just for movies. I bring the LF popcorn, drinks and other snacks for DS. Not only are you in control of your own calories/points but its a whole lot cheaper, too

Easy .. they burn it ... so I always bring my own( shame on me for not wanting to spend my money on burnt snacks)

I movie theater popcorn! Sometimes I resist and I sneak in a Balance Bar instead of indulging, but lately I have been getting a kid pack. It's a small portion and I don't feel as guilty!

Movie popcorn is pretty irresistable, I find myself finishing an entire tub sometimes, and I totally know I shouldn't.

What dissuades me is also the price. I have a hard time paying what they charge, so it keeps me from buying sometimes.

Me and DD usually share the Combo,LOL. But I plan for it and call it lunch and watch what I eat the rest of the day. I guess a kid pack would be a good idea, but don't they come with candy? I guess I could give the candy to DD.

I bring in my own bottle of water and either a bag of Soy Crisps or hot air popcorn. We went to see Cars on Sunday and I took a bag of Soy Crips and water.

I was in your shoes Sunday. I only had coffee for breakfast, though, and we were having an early dinner, so I ate what I estimated to be 6 cups without butter and took the hit on WW points (7.5, I believe). It was sooo worth it.

I have to admit, there have been times I postponed going to the movies to another day because I didn't have enough points for popcorn!

Another strategy I have employed is to order a small with no butter, just for me. Amazing how long it lasts when that is all you have, quantity-wise.

Count me as another sneaker I'll pop up the low-fat stuff (which I really like), put it in a baggie and bring it in. Honestly, I feel kind of guilty about it because I know it's against the rules and I would buy low-fat popcorn if they carried it and it was decent. Oh well, I figure if I ever get caught, I'll just tell them here's the $5 that I would have spent, keep your popcorn, and let me enjoy my low-fat stuff!
