HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Okay ...... here we go again!

I post my plans and then I find out that I have to change them again, right away!

So this is my problem.
I have the tea at the Garden View room booked for Aug 18. It's at 2pm. Now by going through all my notes I remembered that The Wave does a FREE beer tasting. I read up on it and it's only on on Saturdays between 3 and 4. I have also found out that it is only for guests staying at the Contemporary Resort or Bay Lake Tower. We ARE staying at the Contemporary on the 18!!! I would love this for Tom. (I don't drink beer, but I guess they have other beverages there too .... not for free, but none the less). I guess we are cutting it very close with the tea AND the tasting. I am now thinking of moving the tea to the following day. Or will we be done with the tea in time for doing the tasting. I am going to write to the Concierge and have them change it around ... sorry! But they offered to do it, so why not use them. :lmao:

AND ... as if the tea issue wasn't enough. I played on the DCL site and found that I could access a calendar, which already offered the activities of our days and I got them all wrong, going by past navigators. Now I have to juggle those days around too. Nothing booked yet, but I am starting to confuse myself! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Good thing is, I am currently on sickleave and have time to play around in between sneezes and coughs! :thumbsup2

I hope you get better soon. I wish I could start booking our adventures one the Dream

In the meantime Tom went on sickleave too! :lmao: My cough is still bad, but at least I feel a little better, thank you!

Don't remind me of starting to book adventures on the DREAM. I will be able to do so on my birthday ... so DCL made me an early birthday present by telling me! :lmao:
Just hope it works better than either DCL or WDW websites have worked those last few days. ;)

Better late than never for the planning party!!:cool1:

You are perfectly in time for making summer plans and for our next trip to DLRP! It should be a fun time! :goodvibes

News and updates!!!

Time for a few updates …… :woohoo:

Yesterday was my 180th day until the second part of our WDW stay. I was excited to be able to make all my ADRs ……

BUT

WDW site would not want to cooperate! :sad2:
I tried to pick a restaurant that was outside the 180 open days and it would ask me for a confirmation of my reservation. Okay, no biggie, I was kind of waiting for it. It then sent me to sign in with my member name and password and voila …… I was ready to start at the beginning again.
Now, after a few rounds of checking in and going in circles a different window opened ….. hope of being able to finally have conquered the system …..

BUT

nope, again this time it won’t recognize my reservation! (Even though I can stare at it online on their site)
I tried on and off all afternoon and then just gave in. I didn’t want any “hard to get” restaurants, so I thought I could wait and do them day by day.
By 9pm I gave in and called.
The automated system came on and what would you think … didn’t find my reservation and so I had to wait for a “real” person. :rolleyes1 After 20 minutes of listening to park music (on a long distance call) I got through to a really nice and helpful Cast Member, who in no time got me all the reservations I wanted.

So, here is my line up for this summer, day by day. (And I am sure it will be changed and tweaked here and there.)

:dance3: And here comes the surprise!!!!!! :dance3:

We already have TWO DISmeets!!!!!!

One of them is with Joh (Wilma-bride) and her family, who we will have dinner with on our first Key West day at Turtle Kraal.
Can’t wait! :woohoo:

The other one is with our good friends Teresa and Mick (Teri1), who will be coming in a few days early for their DREAM cruise and we will spend some time together before we have to go home! :woohoo:

Karen, I was wondering why you were home today. I'm sorry you are sick. Sure hope you'll feel much better very soon. Gentle

Oh, yes, you have a birthday coming up? Inquiring minds would like to know when, pretty please? :goodvibes

I must have posted when you were posting that amazing itinerary!!:woohoo: How the heck can I be so excited when it is not even my trip!!:rotfl2: Obviously, I get my Disney trip fix vicariously through yout PTR's & TR's!:thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Well, all I can is that this is going to be one sweet trip! Florida Keys? Be still my heart.:lovestruc It's on my list of places to visit, but will have to wait until I get back to Europe. One thing for sure, if we do move to FL in 2013, I will bring Sophia to the parks for a couple of days when you & Tom are there and we can all play together for a day or two ::yes:: ... and/or of course, you & Tom will always be welcome to stop over and visit wherever it is we put down roots on the Gulf Coast.:thumbsup2

LOVE the itinerary so far!! Now to look forward to cha cha changes! :rotfl::goodvibes

Yes, I am home on sickleave! Second longer one this school year, thank god we get paid sickleave!
And btw, Tom had to go to the doctors yesterday too, he's on sickleave too! :lmao:

My birthday is still two months away, May 11, since you asked! ;) It was just fun to see that DCL posted my first day to book any excursions on May 11. Needless to say they want me to pay in full first! :rotfl2:

At the moment I am pretty happy with my itinerary - once I start to plan in depth, that is when the changing will start! :lmao:

You are moving to Florida? Any idea where you want to go on the Gulf Coast? It would be awesome if you and Sophia could come to Disney next year!! :woohoo: Keeping my fingers crossed for you so everything works out in your favour! :goodvibes
And if you settle somewhere along the Gulf Coast we will most certainly come to visit you! Nothing better than getting together with DISfriends! :thumbsup2

Mia, Sophia, the pups and I will go visit the St. Pete area the first week of June to check out that area, a couple of smaller older FL towns and the Sarasota/Bradenton area. If all goes well, she wants to get the move going next year. They enver planned to be here this long - it was temp for a job situation, but the economy changed all that. Fingers crossed it all works out - I am so ready for this move!!! ::yes::

Lunch is over...time to go play with Sophia for the afternoon! Take good care and feel better, Karin. Days like these I wish you weren't so far far so we could have a phone visit.;)

Hi Karin, Sorry to hear you and Tom are sick. I just read your upcoming dinning plans, Mick and I hope we can fit a dinner in with you. :woohoo:

To Minnie&Nana, we love the ST. Pete area and have stayed there for a few vacations. We have visited the Sarasota area too and loved Siesta Key Beach. I would love to live in either place some day!

That is so good to hear, Teri! Thank you! We are looking for a cottage or possibly a condo to rent for the week - did you stay in a hotel or cottage? Any recommendations? Thanks much!

...and how wonderful you'll be able to join Karin & Tom... many in their fan club will be jealous! :goodvibes Enjoy!!

Minnie&Nana- We always stayed at a small Hilton hotel which is now a Doubletree, at N. Reddington Beach. The people were nice there and they had a nice restaurant that the locals also used with beach buffets on the weekend and awesome breakfasts outside. Sorry I don't know anything about the condos but there are plenty of them.

Yes we are very excited to get to spend time with our friends Karin and Tom!!

St. Pete is wonderful, we visited there a few years ago and loved it. I cannot remember much about Sarasota, as we were only driving there to search and find their Crazy Shirt Shop! :rotfl2: All I remember is that we bought a cute TS with a lot of fish on it! Not much help here, am I? :lmao:
I will keep my fingers crossed this works out for you and Mia!
And thanks so much for your kind words .... the world has gotten "smaller" in the last couple years, but still not small enough. We'll speak soon!

Teri, I will try to make that ADR later today or when it falls into my 180 day schedule. We should not have a problem getting a table! Can't wait to have dinner with you two! :goodvibes

This is what I love so much about the DISboards .... people from all corners of the world, helping each other out!

I am glad to hear you liked the Dream cabins with the round tub. Since I have years to save for our Fantasy cruise, I really want to try a cabin with the round tub and the special shower. They look so relaxing.

I hope you are able to do the beer tasting and the tea. You better not cancel the tea this year, b/c I really want an in depth review and pictures:laughing:

Your plans look great. Three days with nothing written but Castaway Cay sounds amazing:cloud9:

Thanks so much, Teri! We have been checking out homeaway.com and VRBO.com - I am sure we will find just what we are looking for...not easy when the travel party includes a grandmother, mother, 3 1/2 yr old Princess and 2 small Maltese doglets! :rotfl:

Those Family Staterooms are AMAZING. And the extra space was so nice! Don't get me started on the round tub! Absolutely wonderful. You would definitely love it!

I really WANT to do the tea, so I might just move it up a day and put it on our arrival day, pushing CG back a bit. We have made so many attempts on going to the tea that now that we are staying so close, we just have to fit it in! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your comments on my plans. I cannot believe that we will be going back to CC for three visit this summer :cloud9:

Oops...sorry for the typos!:rotfl:

Did I miss an update with pics of your family stateroom? Hope not! If so, please point me in the right direction? Thank you!!
