HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Loved your door!

We booked also, but on the Wonder for the following week.. Al always wanted to see the Keys.. so we're gonna try it... sorry we're gonna miss you.

How is DVC, we looked into buying it, as we always do Disney.. but, not 100% that we should do it yet...

Looking forward to more pictures... :goodvibes

Robin, I am glad you liked our door - Tom takes a lot of pride in making all those magnets. ;) :goodvibes

Have you been on the Wonder before? She was my "first love". Even though she is not as new as the DREAM, the upkeep of the ship is amazing and they take great pride in their ship.
Oh, and btw - the Keys are wonderful. We are driving there this summer, I love staying at Key West! :thumbsup2

This was only our first DVC stay. I have always said that it is not for us, we are too old and I am not sure how long we will be able to "hop" across the pond, but when you really think about it, you will have "used up" what you paid upfront in a few years time. Our stay at BLT would have roughly cost 1200$. And our stay at OKW this summer would roughly be 3000$. Those two combined make nearly a third of what we initially paid. So I guess we will break even pretty soon.
Now the thing is that we LOVE OKW's 1 bedroom villas. They are HUGE and this will give us a chance to spend at least a week there every summer - so it makes sense for us!

Maybe you should order the DVD and look into it .... all vacations are different and I don't really know what is best for you!

Give Jenna a hug from me!

I love your ADR list. I hope you get a chance to get to the GVTR. I truly enjoyed it this last trip and I think it may be a new tradition for me.

I am glad you approve, Ann! ;)
Tom and I were pretty sure about some of the restaurants, but Epcot kind of was hard to figure out. We didn't really "love" Le Cellier last summer, Nine Dragons gets bad reviews, I can't seem to enjoy the desserts at the Japenese Restaurants and I will NOT, for the life of me, go back to Marrakesh! :rotfl2: So in the end we decided on sticking with the devil we knew - the Rose and Crown. We love the food and you cannot really go wrong with English pub grub! ;)

I asked Tom if I could book GVTR again and he agreed. Since we are staying club level I intend to make full use of the food offerings, so we just want some "in between" dining experience and the tea sounded like a good idea. I need to check their tea menu though - not sure if I can find some tea I like or if I'll have to bring my own again, like I did on the DREAM. :rotfl2:

I might pick your brain on what to order though! ;)

:rotfl: I almost asked if you were going to bring your own tea. And...pick my brain? I am not the one. I love tea...but am clueless about it. I had the cm suggest what I should drink.

Oh my, me and my tea obsession! :rotfl2:
I need to check their online menu .... or even have the Concierge email me the menu :lmao: so I can find out what they offer.
Were there any special food items that you liked? I know they have some pate on the menu, but I am not a huge fan.
I would love some cucumber sandwiches, or egg sandwiches with my tea .... any idea if they have those? :confused3

What's wrong with my brain tonight? Please remind me...GVTR?

This old brain thanks you!!:worship:

Christine ...... some of those abbreviations are Greek to me too, but I can help you with

GVTR = Garden View Tea Room (at the Grand Floridian)

Guess I better get myself to bed soon - it's going on 1am here, but I have been typing the first day of my new trip report, so I can post it tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Thank you, Karin!

Ah, yes...thought it was at the GF, but it used to have a different name...since I still call the Studios MGM, you can guess how well I'd remember Garden View Tea Room! ;) Have been enjoyed the Tea Rooms a few times and always a delight....if I ever get there at the same time as you and Tom, maybe we could do this one! (or FTBBQ! lol) ::yes::

Looking forward to doing some reading tomorrow! :)

Rest well, dear friend. May the angels watch over you.

The cucumber and egg were there....although, the egg was a bit odd... but one of the ones I liked more. The cucumber was yummy. The pear and gorgonzolla was the worst! :crazy2: You will have to let me know what ones you liked. Also, I am even clueless when it comes to ordering. We just had a plate brought to us. I bet we could have ONLY ordered the cucumber ones... but I don't know for sure.

Hi Karin. As for our room, we are in 8030, I believe. Trying to go from memory. I know we have a veranda. That is the most important to me. I need at least a window but it is even better with a verandah!

Your plans for this summer are looking good. It will be here before you know it!

How quick was your trip......... feels like you should still be on the DREAM. Your teasers are excellant look forward to reading all about your trip. ADRs are coming together, what a great looking stateroom door well done :)

Christine, when I first came on here I had a pretty hard time with all the short forms ..... and even nowadays, some of your common abbreviations are hard to catch - happens to the best of us! ;)

ONE day we will make it there at the same time and we will have a heck of a time! No matter where we go ...... GVTR, or FT or whatever! It will be lots of fun. :thumbsup2

I just love cucumber sandwiches! :rotfl2: Easy to please, aren't I?
I might even like gorgonzola and pear .... I love gorgonzola and have to have cranberry sauce with it. :goodvibes :lmao:
We will have to study the menu and then just decide spur of the moment - but I am sure IF we make it there, we'll have a blast! ;)

The veranda rooms are awesome! :thumbsup2 You chose very well. We are always on deck 10 - and had stateroom 10626, because I fell in love with the "Stitch" number when it was offered.
It was a family stateroom and had a round shower - AWESOME!!!!!!! I could have stayed inside there for most of the cruise. Would have had to come out for some food though! :rotfl2:

I can make the rest of my reservations for this summer on Tuesday. So far we have no idea what we want to do. No dining plan makes it fairly easy - I guess I will book an ADR for each day and then just play it by ear - if we don't feel like it we can always cancel and eat offsite. :rolleyes1

Hi Karin I am terribly behind on all my reports and am trying to catch up

No problem, Rosie! We will be here when you are all caught up.

I know, I know ...... those short trips are almost over once they have started. But it was a wonderful experience and we had so much fun.

Thanks for the kind words about our stateroom door. Tom takes great pride in making the decorations and we had so many we had to change them daily. :rotfl2:

So far I am pretty happy with our ADRs - just need to figure out where to eat for the rest of our WDW stay. ;)

Heck, we can just sit on a bench and it will be awesome!!! (or one of our balconies;):rotfl:)

Oh my gosh, I can hardly wait for photos of your stateroom - and the shower too?!:woohoo:

Tuesday?:dance3: My goodess, seems like you just got back!:rotfl:

Tuesday?:dance3: My goodess, seems like you just got back!:rotfl:

It makes me :rotfl2: that a simple shower gets me all excited, but this one was just amazing.
As I said, the shower itself was round and there was a regular shower head that you could take off the wall - very handy if you want to wash your long hair. ;)
But the really exciting thing was a rainforest shower - which practically makes you feel like it is raining on you! :cloud9:
They even have a set temperature, but it was always a bit too hot, so we turned it back a bit.
Huge downside - you stay much longer in that shower than another one, because it is so relaxing.

As for booking my ADRs. We'll get off the DREAM Sept 2 and we will have a week to plan food for.
I guess I need to check park hours tomorrow and then decide on which park will be convenient and after that, where we'll want to eat.
Having your ADRs booked makes your vacation feel so much closer. :lmao:

I get excited about things like that too! Have read about the rainforest showers and it sounds incredible. Wish the Resorts would get those when refurbs are done at the deluxes. ::yes::

YES!! Having ADR's booked makes it feel like it is really happening - so much fun! :woohoo:

Every year when your August/Sept planning gets going, I stare at the calendar and try to figure out a way to make it work for me to get down for just 3 ngts....but so far it hasn't happened...one of these years before I am too old and grey.:rotfl: Oh, wait...my hair is already white!!!!!:rotfl2:

One day it will just fall into place, Christine and we will be at WDW at the same time .... or even lure you on one of the ships! ;) :thumbsup2
