Me and three friends will be visiting the world in september. I was wondering...

what is the best way to get these tickets?

if we want to get them before hand who do we go through on base?

and last but most important of all we need a seven day park hopper not a 5?? what is the best way to do it can I upgrade or should we each just buy two tickets??

I am so confused!!!:confused3

You can go to the Shades of Green and get the free 5 day for the military member, and up to 5 more at $100 each, and add $25 for park hopper or any other thing you want to add. You then take the ticket from Shades of Green and go to guest services and they will enter all of you information in the computer and you will get a special military ticket which is plastic and has a red white blue Mickey head on it...really cool...you can upgrade your ticket to a 10 day at guest services. The ticket does not become active until you take it to guest services...so you can buy them ahead at the base you are on.

Hope this helps.

You can pick the tickets up in person at SOG or Guest relations. :goodvibes

You can only purchase 5 days for $99. If you upgrade the tickets you will pay full price. You can't buy 2 per person. Only one per guest. The active duty service member and all members of the party must be present when you buy and activate the tickets. We picked up our tickets in May and they were very strict about this. They recorded Paul's SSN and the base where he's stationed. I hope this helps. :thumbsup2

If you do this you will pay regular price.
Quoted from Cheshire Figments FAQ thread...
The Companion Tickets may be upgraded to Annual Passes, Premium APs, or Florida Resident Seasonal Passes (with proper Florida ID). The normal 14 day upgrade period does not apply. However, there will not be “price bridging”; this means that the value of the ticket will be what was paid for it ($99, $124, or $149) and not the current gate price of an equivalent MYW ticket. If the ticket is upgraded to an annual product the expiration date will be one year from the date of first use of the Companion Ticket.

so I am sorry I am really slow..... so in the end if we need 7 days is the easiest way just to buy regular 7 day park hoppers and not even worry about military discount because it will be void once we upgrade it??? I have read too many threads and I am just  feeling stupid!!!

If you want 7 days yes it's easier to just buy a 7 day ticket for the guests. It's still cheaper for the service member to use the 5 day "free" ticket and the just pay for a 2 day park hopper. :thumbsup2 If you are paying for the companion pass and have to add additional days it negates any savings.

Companion - 5 day Mil Sal ticket plus PH&WPFM option - $150 plus $211 for a 2 day PH ticket = $361. A 7 day PH&WPFM ticket is $350 = No savings...:guilty:

Service member - Free 5 day PH&WPFM plus a 2 dayPH = $211 = a little saving. :)

Have you thought about just buying the 5 day ticket and the just having a WP/DQ day? Or maybe Seaworld. They are still offering the Heros Salute. Or maybe a day at Universal? They are also offering free tickets to the military. :goodvibes

I hope this helps! :goodvibes

it helps I knew you or launchpad would come to my rescue!!:worship:

THANK YOU!!!:goodvibes

Oh, yes, you are right about upgrading...only to annual pass.

If you buy them at SOG, there is no tax. If you buy them at guest services, you pay tax. Also, we were not all present when we bought them at SOG or at guest services when they activated them. They do take your military ID and enter the information and the unit you are in. You don't need to use the index finger scan for these passes either.
