Help! Microsoft Word Problem

I need help quick. I have to submit a paper via email today and somehow, I clicked on something that causes the formating in the document to be shown. I.e. I can see paragragh symbols and dots for spacing. Help! What can I do to get this off of my document?

It depends on the version of Word, but try (on the menu bar) -- Tools / Options / and the View Tab, look for things like "paragraph symbols" and stuff like that.

That's an option (as explained in the previous post) - the option makes them display on your screen, but that doesn't mean they will display on the recipient's screen when you e-mail the document and they open it.

Those markings are always there, the option just tells Word whether or not you want to see them. It has no effect on the actual document.
