If you HAD to eat counter service at MGM what would it be? I've looked at all the menus and while I think Pizza Planet would be good for DD for the ambiance I think the adults would not really like it. None of the other counter service places seem to have a very good selection. Was hoping for somewhere that might have both salads and burgers or something. I just don't see that available.

We are going with my parents who will not eat anything but counter service OY!!!

Is the pizza at PP truly awful? I don't want to waste money on truly bad food!

Straring Rolls just added to there menu. Maybe you could split up to eat. Will they do buffets? A lot of families love 50's prime time cafe.

The ABC Commissary isn't too bad. I think the new menu at Starring Rolls sounds better, though.

Hollywood and Vine is a pretty decent buffet if you can get them to do that. It's not as pricy as Mama Melrose or Brown Derby.

The Pizza Planet is ok- not great but not awful. We've ate at the ABC Commisary which has some variety of burgers, chicken, and Rosie's All American Cafe has similar fare plus garden salads.

I used to think PP had ok pizza, but I really liked their salads. However on our last trip, in December, the salads were very good as usual and I found the pizza to be very good too. It seemed different, more cheesy. I dont know if they have changed it, or if I just caught them on a good day, but I am very much looking forward to going back there on our next trip.

Pizza Planet is a must for our family every time we go to MGM. We actually like the pizza!!!:cool1:

My family likes the Backlot Express (near Star Tours). Not nearly as crowded as Pizza Planet and the Commissary, They have the usual hamburgers, chicken fingers, salads. They also have a fairly good turkey sandwich which my DH and I often share.

We like Pizza Planet and ABC Commisary. We think the pizza is quite good at PP and we like the fish n chips at ABC.

Weve never been before:crazy: so Pizza Planet is a must for us as both our DD's love Toy Story.

We shall eat there to keep them happy.

Happy DD's Happy parents:D

My DH is also a Pizza freak

We go to Pizza Planet and play games in the arcade--very good during a storm or when you need a break from the heat. We've only been able to get a table to eat outside. I'm not sure how the seating is inside. We may try the pizza again this year (only fair on the last visit), but I'd rather just go to the Spoodles window on the Boardwalk.
