France- 2 restaurants one upstairs and one downstairs. Walk past the first restaurant and there is a sign and some steps that go up.

Canada- Movie- Not far from all the maple syrup is the movie. Ask a CM if you don;t see the sign.

Cool. One of the greatest resources WS has going for it is that the countries are staffed by people actually from that country. You'll get more cultural information by talking to them than you will by exploring the Disney-fied version of their country (as much as I love EPCOT and WS, people in Germany don't still walk around wearing lederhosen all day!). Something cool you might consider doing is working with your kids ahead of time to figure out some 'interview questions' they can ask the cast members in each country. What is your favorite place to visit in your home country? How do you say _____? What is your favorite food? Etc. There are KIDCOT stations where they get to make a craft from the country, and this could be a nice chance to ask the questions. Even better, though, might be to walk up to a random CM (who isn't already super busy corralling crowds...CMs in stores would be the best option) and ask them. Your older is old enough that you could even videotape them interacting with the CMs on your cell phone and, when you get home, edit together a little 'Interview Show' on the free editing software that comes with your computer. What a cool momento that cost you $0!

For $20 you get a printed card that you take to these three countries where you get two sample glasses of wine at each country along with information about the drink. Not only do you get the physical souvenir but six glasses of wine for $20. Granted they are smaller pours, but that's a steal ANYWHERE, let alone WDW.

You're right, how could I forget?! They even give you a little card explaining all this with each purchase. Whenever we've bought something there as a gift we give the card with the gift

Whenever I see someone say WS isn't for kids I have to force myself not to correct them lol. Epcot was both my DS's favorite park when they were toddlers and they both still enjoy it very much, just in different ways. In addition to things in FW and some things in WS already mentioned such as character meets, performers and the boat ride in Mexico, there are 3 other specific things for kids (2 already mentioned here also).
-KidCot stations, one in every country. Kids can get what was formerly a Duffy bear on a stick, not sure if they've changed it since Duffy has left. They can color in each country and the CM in each will put a "stamp" on the stick with their country on it. In China and I believe Japan also the CM's will write the child's name in their native language. This is FREE
-Agent P missions. I know you can do these in most countries; there may be a couple that don't participate. Each takes approx. 30 minutes and the kids are on a mission to save Perry the Platypus. During the course of the mission they open...I guess "portals"is the best word I can think of although that isn't really right, but anyway they're cute. My boys have especially liked the missions in Mexico, Germany, and Norway. Again, FREE!
-OK now this isn't free but it's neat. You can purchase a passport in any country's gift shop. There's a page for each country in it; bring it to any CM - we usually gave it to the CM at the KidCot station - and they'll write "Hello child's name" and a little message al in their native language. I think it costs $10 or $20? It's been 4 or 5 years since we've bought them.....I also think there's one somewhere here on the DiS people have downloaded.
-something else people have done, including us, that isn't free but keeps kids interested and allows adults to look in shops, is let kids pick out either a small trinket or piece of candy/chocolate in every country. If you are interested in shopping or even just looking around but your kids tend to.....whine as some do, in stores, this may help! Just remember if you're going during a hot month you may not want to carry chocolate around with you

Thanks, it does sound like there's a lot that we'll enjoy at WS. We are at DL frequently, and our daughter loves the Dapper Dans and she was crazy about the "Viva Navidad!" Christmas show, so I feel like this will be right up her alley. Thanks for the detailed information, I'll be referencing this when we're there to make sure we remember all the fun details available!

I haven't read all of the replies, so I'm probably repeating what's already been said. I'll just go around the WS and tell what we did/liked.

Mexico: Gran Fiesta boat ride in the pyramid is fun
Norway: School bread at the Kringla bakery was delicous
China: The reflections of China movie was good, and the model of the terracota army is neat
Germany: Didn't stop here, but some of the shops looked cool
Italy: The dancers/drummers with the flags are fun to see, and though I haven't eaten there yet, Via Napoli looks delicious! Oh, and there's a shop with gorgeous masks!
America: The Voices of America on the outdoor stage are fantastic. The American Adventure show inside is good.
Japan: Didn't stop in here, though I had wanted to (no time) and the pick-a-pearl sounds fun
Morocco: Definitely wind back through this pavilion and see all of the cool shops, etc.
France: Impressions de France is a really cool movie. Good pastries (chocolate eclair was yum!) here too. Also some lovely shops, loved the perfume shop
UK: Fun shops and fish & chips! Also, I think Mary Poppins hangs out here sometimes!
Canada: We didn't stop here, but they have a film too, and Le Cellier is one of the most popular restaurants at Disney.

I haven't done it yet. Looking forward to doing it next month! You can purchase the card at any of the three countries in their wine/beer room. Off hand I didn't know Germany even had one, but looking at photos it appears to be in the back left corner of the pavilion. The Italy one is the easiest, as it is the shop on the immediate right when facing in the pavilion, and the one in France is in the middle 'prong' of shops. If you ask where the wine shop is at each country, they will be able to direct you better than I. Once you purchase, save the receipt and the card (they'll stamp the card and you'll need to show the receipt). Disney Food Blog did a thing about it with a lot more detail, but I'm purposefully avoiding more information so that it's more of a surprise once we do it.

Best Food= Everything! this is my favorite showcase by far. Loved sushi at Tokyo Dining, and the sake flight at the outside sake bar kiosk

Best Show/Time of day to see/Place to watch= Tokyo Dining is a good spot for fireworks while dining.

Best Hidden/Less well-known feature= The backside of the market has a cute little grocer area with fun japanese treats and tons of Pocky and if you don't know what that is then well you have to buy some.

Best Food= cariciofi pizza (spelling?) at Via Napoli, holy yummy pizza. And if you want authentic Italian try a shot of Grappa.
