Help me with our FP+ and a DAS question

Tomorrow, we get to make our FP+ reservations. Even though we will be resort guests, we purchased YES program tickets so we had to wait until our 30 mark to book them. We are a family of 4,with boys ages 14 and 10. My dh is disabled and will be in a wheelchair. So, we are trying to figure out the best FP selections for our situation. Are there rides that would be better to get the FP for more than others since he is in a wheelchair? I am not trying to take advantage of anyone or any system, but I don't want to waste a FP either. Both the kids and my dh definitely want to ride things like all the coasters (in all parks), ToT etc. But, they also want to see the shows like the stunt show, Indiana Jones and the Lion King.

Are most queues HA? Will we be given a return time for things like toy story, thunder mountain and splash mountain or do they have new wheelchair lines? For the life of me, I can't envision a wheelchair in those lines. I know he can stay in the wheelchair for Soarin' but what about test track and spaceship earth?

Lastly, due to the nature if his disability, my dh cannot operate a ECV or wheelchair on his own. For times that I won't be with him, but the kids will be, do you think they will issue a DAS? I just don't want to waste time in line at GS if they are going it give him the run around.

He can't stay in his wheelchair for soarin. If a more level transfer is better then stepping down he can ask to board upstairs for test track. Toy story has always been the regular line with the split at the steps to a ramp. Unless he has other issues associated with his disability besides the wheelchair he will not be given a DAS

When you're saying you know you can stay in his wheelchair, do you mean through the queue or in the ride? He can't stay in his wheelchair to ride Soarin', but he can through the queue. The same is true for Test Track. Spaceship Earth has an alternate entrance so he will be able to get to the ride car using a wheelchair. The only ride where he cannot at least get to the ride car using a wheelchair is Tomorrowland Transit Authority because the queue is a moving walkway set at an angle. For Peter Pan, he can stay in his wheelchair until boarding, however, must be able to board using the moving walkway at it's full speed (they cannot slow that moving walkway). Otherwise, there is a way to get to a ride vehicle using a wheelchair and other rides can slow/stop their moving walkways, although there have been some more recent reports that CMs are reluctant to do so when it's busy.

As the previous poster said, if his only needs are mobility related, they will not issue him a DAS. Most queues are wheelchair accessible.

On the rides that do ever give wheelchair return times (Small World & Jungle Cruise are the two where I know people have talked about having one issued), there's no way to know if you'll be given a return time or not if you just show up. I'm still not clear if there's a consistent way that it's handled when a wheelchair user shows up with a FP+ since for at least some of those rides the FP+ line is not wheelchair accessible. That said, it's been reported that when they are not issuing wheelchair return cards (which involve a card you are given at the attraction, not the same as the DAS and not operating on the same rules as the DAS), the wait in the wheelchair accessible queue for rides such as Small World are now much more reasonable than they used to be. This is because DAS users who don't also have a mobility aid no longer end up in that line (which is one of the big reasons the wheelchair accessible entrances to rides such as Small World used to get so backed up).
