Help me with Lands End Jackets/Coats

My DD9 needs a new winter coat. We live in the Midwest and it doesn't get as cold here as it does in the North (usually averages in mid 20's to 30's), but it is still cold. I like the coats that have zipouts so you can use it more. Any suggestions? They have TOO many coats to choose from and they are overwhelming me.

Also, she wears a 10-12, so would you get a 14-16 for her or do you think it will swallow her? I don't want it to be huge but don't want to use it for only a few months because they are expensive.

Do you all have any other suggestions from other brands?

Could you go to a Sears Lands End Shop & have her try on the different sizes?

When my DD was 9yo, she wore the medium Squall Parka. I think we got 2 seasons out of that jacket before she outgrew it.

We always get our kids coats from Lands End. My boys refuse to wear the coats with the inner jackets. They had them one year and complained that the arms were too restricting. Just wanted to mention that in case your daughter was picky like my kids.
So, I get them the quilted down coats. They are really warm and easy to layer over a hoodie or sweater.
We always go up a size.

They wash and wear really well.
