Hello,
My DD (17) is a roller coaster maniac...the higher, faster, twistier the better. We've gone to Busch Gardens Tampa but not IOA. She really wants to go back to Busch Gardens but doesn't have a reference regarding IOA. For those of you (not me!!! :scared1:) who love the thrill rides, which would be more fulfilling for her?
Thank you!

If she's mainly looking for coasters, BGT will be better for her. IOA only has three coasters and BGT has quite a few more.

We went to BG for the first time a few weeks ago. Overall, the kids (13 & 10 -- thrill ride lovers) preferred Universal, but I think the rides were better at BG.

They are both great options for rides though...I don't think you can go wrong with either choice!!

Busch Gardens for sure! Hulk is a very decent coaster, but Kumba at Busch is close enough (although it doesn't have the cool launch). I'll take Montu over the Dragons any day, and nothing beats SkeiKra for airtime when you ride row three with your legs stretched out in front of you. Even Scorpion at Busch is kind of cool (I like going upside down without a shoulder harness). I love Harry at IOA but BGT is my place for coasters.

Agree! When it comes to Sheikra though, front row with your harness down just enough to keep you in but with some wiggle room creates a awesome sensation of zero G on the first drop. (Ah the things our science teacher taught us! lol)

I think I'll be going to BGT the next time we're in Sarasota. Maybe one day to Typhoon lagoon too (it's been way too long since I've been to a water park.)

Busch Gardens is becoming the premier coaster park in Florida, next year they're opening the Intamin built Cheetaka (rumored name) which looks to be an amazing fast terrain coaster with multiple launches.

We like IOA a lot but right now with the attraction of HP I'd opt for BG just because it will likely be quieter and the coasters there are quite good.
