Help me with Caribbean all-inclusive

Hi everyone,

As much as I love WDW, I'd like to stay for a week at an all-inclusive somewhere in the Caribbean. Here's what I'm looking for:

* any Caribbean island except for Jamaica. Since I'm traveling by myself, I want to feel safe. I've been to Jamaica before, and "safe" was the last thing I felt there!

* something geared more to adults - I can't go to one of the Sandals resorts since I'm not half of a couple, I really don't want to go to a resort like Beaches that would have a lot of children there (I get that fix at WDW!), and absolutely nothing that remotely resembles one of those Hedonism resorts!

* I'd like an all-inclusive that includes not only my meals but also alcoholic beverages and water sports.

* A nice beach is important to me and I LOVE to snorkel.

Does anyone know if such a resort exists? Am I being too picky?

Izzy

My wife and I have stayed at both the Pineapple Beach Club in Antigua and at La Source in Grenada both very nice and the people on the islands couldnt have nicer especially in Geranda.
A plus with La Source its a spa and a daily spa treatment is included in the price. :sunny:

DH & I went to Aruba for our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. Weather is always nice. I don't remember seeing alot of kids there either, although I did see some. They do have an all inclusive, but I can't remember the name of it. Go to one of the travel websites such as Expedia.com and do a search under Aruba. It's out of the hurricane belt, so no threat of hurricanes and there is a 2 week (or so) rainy season in December. There is gambling on the island if you're interested in that. Hope this helps some.

We loved Iberostar in Playa del Carmen, near Cancun. Playa is less commercialized then Cancun. Wonderful hotel.

DH, his friend, and I are heading to St Martin next month. I do believe there are a couple all inclusives there. (We rented a condo.) But I know there is a lot of great snorkeling there.

My inlaws would go to Curtain Bluff in Antigua for many years together.

After they separated, my MIL went alone a few times. She loved it!

DH & I stayed at Super-Club Breezes, in The Bahamas, this past summer. It included everything you're looking for (maybe not the snorkeling...have no interest in that, so I'm not sure if they offered that) No children under 16 are allowed there. You could eat and drink all night, if you wanted to...and no tipping! We only ventured into town one day, it seemed safe, but we didn't stray too far from the shopping area.
