Help me with 7month booking

Ok so if I call at my 7 month window and the first night of my stay is not available can I book the other nights and waitlist the first night? Or do I have to call back the next day and book it and then do the waitlist. Its not for my home. Or can I book the first night somewhere else and then book the rest at the resort I want?

I've always booked my home resort but the kids want to try something different. I seem to be having a problem with our first night in their 2 picks for places they want to stay. I would just waitlist the whole thing but with how I read they do the waitlist and the attitude I got to check availability for my waitlist I'd rather book what I can and keep calling on the rest.

You can waitlist for the first night or the entire trip, but they won't let you book the other days until the next day. This has happened to me a few times. Sometimes the CM will tell you how the inventory is for the remainder of the days. Good luck.
