I know that with the DDP, we get a TS, a CS, and a snack each day. If we order CS, it says entree, non-alcoholic drink, and dessert. Two questions -

If we go to a CS location without a combo meal, can I get a side? Example - Sunshine Seasons has sandwiches, but they aren't listed with a side.

Can I use my cs credit for a cs kids meal? I am sharing with my 16 month old and want to make sure he always has something he likes.

I've heard that if we don't want dessert at a cs, we can get an extra drink insread. Can anyone confirm this?

If I want to add a side (like onion rings at Flame Tree BBQ), canI use a snack credit with my cs?

Yes, you do get a side with virtually every entree at counter service places -- just ask when you're ordering. The only place I know you don't get a side is with a sandwich at Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. Most places with a sandwich you will get fries or chips, sometimes can choose a fruit or side salad.

Yes you can do this, but kid's counter service meals are not very large -- like 4 chicken nuggets, a handful of grapes and a few carrot sticks. So it might not really be enough for you and a child to share unless you both have small appetites.

I've heard that if we don't want dessert at a cs, we can get an extra drink insread. Can anyone confirm this? Technically, no you can't do this...the actual "rules" are no substitutions for desserts. However, people have reported having some success with this, so you'll just have to try it. Some counter services may allow you to do this.

If I want to add a side (like onion rings at Flame Tree BBQ), canI use a snack credit with my cs? Yes, you can use a snack to add a side (as long as that particular side qualifies as a Dining Plan snack.)

Have a fun vacation! We'll be there in May, too!

Sides are not included with CS meals unless they are listed as part of that meal accompanying the entree (such as burger with fries, chicken with fries, etc.) Most CS meals include fries or chips or maybe something like slaw. (And if you want, they will substitute apples or carrots for fries or chips.) Sunshine Season does not. I don't think you can get a separate side there. If you want a separately listed side, you may use a snack credit for it, if the restaurant accepts snack credits for that particular side.

Here is a list of snack credits that you can use. Some of the items are enough to feed yourself a small meal, so they should be great for feeding you child.
